And FYI (never knew about this): he mentioned they are in the holiday return period at this point--so everything purchased between 11/1/13 and 12/25/13 gets until 1/7/13 for returns.

looking at mine, it too is also a little uneven, but seriously, its not something to go and return the machine for! Its not like its noticeable like a dent or a scratch. I returned my first rMBP due to the trackpad being loose, it moved side to side approximately 1mm, which affected the gesture usage of the device, my new one has a trackpad that is solid.

That little bit of rubber has absolutely no effect on the usability of the device, and for anyone to notice you have to really look hard.
