Absolutely no way would I have a chip implanted in me. Reminds me too much of the Nazis and their habit of tattooing numbers on people.

What happens if he and his girlfriend split up? Won't be quite as easy as just changing the locks!

I recall there were a couple of guys who experimented with magnetic implants in their finger tips. Apparently, it was pretty successful, as they were able to determine live wires and such. If I remember correctly, they were computer repair technicians.

I'm writing a speech on RFID so I'm bring this topic back :)

vote know on 666 read in the holy bible (REVALATION 13)all about this RFID chip mark or visit this website http://blog.myspace.com/elijah2006 and watch this movie on it in the blogs "Freedom to fascism" enjoy

Um, ok. Didn't everyone think barcodes were a sign of the end times? That obviously didn't pan out.

I think the main problem is security. RFID isn't secure from what I've seen. I'd be more willing to have an implant once it becomes more secure.

There was also a recent report that showed an increase risk of cancer at the site of the RFID implant in animals tagged with them. Personally, I wouldn't be willing to risk it for a slight increase in convenience
