Its probably a better to think about it like this:
If Apple want to make a computer what shaped like a Turnip. They would inevitably figure out a way to make a computer that is shaped like a Turnip. And with all the pertinent engineering constrains accounted for to make a fully working Turnip, including the thermal heat dissipation and everything else.
Now if Apple wanted instead to make a computer thats shaped like a wedge of cheese... wait they already did that. If Apple decide to make a bigger, thicker and more powerful wedge of cheese.... well they can, in all likelihood to that too.
It really isn't much of a stretch to think that a device that is 1cm at the front can be make a bit thinner there. Doesn't necessarily have to be 1mm like the Air. Could be anything up to 5mm. And the height at the back could even be slightly thicker in exchange. But who really cares eh? When the MBP is so thin already.
I actually do happen to care about this. Its nothing to do with improving the portability or making the laptop smaller or lighter overall.
If the keyboard and trackpad are angled then that will be an improvement for the ergonomics. Less strain on the wrist / hands. I have never used something so completely flat like the current Unibody MBP. And think about it. With a slight angle, it will mean that the sharp edges don't catch so much on arms / wrists. Hence slightly more comfortable. Its not particularly an earth-shattering change. But a modest and welcome one. Its all just complete speculation until we hear some decent rumors about it. Come on MacRumors!
