If there were a larger (15 or 16 inch) MacBook Air available, would you want it?

Lately I have been called upon to recommend laptops for a few people, and there do seem to be quite a few who would like a larger screen because they mainly use them at kitchen tables and desks but move them around within the house, but don’t really need something portable. Its awkward to have to tell them, its a 2800 euro MacBook Pro which is way over-specced or a much cheaper PC.

A 15 inch MacBook Air would fill this gap nicely, especially in the time of the M1 which is fast enough to handle most tasks with ease.

Yep. But apple prefers to sell MBP with higher margin, hopefully that day will come. But zero leaks suggest that in 2 years horizon at least. A MBA M2 15" would be insta buy for me if 16 GB RAM + below €2k.

I wouldn't buy one for myself, but still would very much like to see a 15" version. I think it would be a huge seller if priced right as many people want a larger than 13" screen and don't want to play $2K for it.

If Apple would come with a larger screen like a 14" version for their refreshed 2022 Air, I would consider a new purchase depending on how this laptop will be configured... (processor/ram/storage drive) and cost obviously

I must be the only guy who uses their laptop on their lap. I've been listening to the rumors of a 15" or 16" macbook air for four years, nursing my 2010 13" macbook Air along (batt life down to 2 hours (2nd battery), trackpad would only click in bottom left corner, OS-orphaned, etc) and last fall I just gave up and bought the 16" MBP. It sits on my lap, not sliding down between my legs like my 13" always did.

If Apple releases a 16" Air next year, too bad. I'm keeping this MBP, love its screen, love its speakers, and it's paid for.

I also use my laptop on my lap the majority of the time. I had the 12" MacBook, which I loved, but it was too underpowered. This M1 Air is a bit heavier, but no fan and no heat is great. I wouldn't want it bigger or heavier. I would like MagSafe.

I would absolutely love it!

I don't need the Pro's power, and I don't want to pay the Pro's price, but a larger screen would be very helpful, especially when working with multiple documents and doing research. As long as it keeps the wedge shape, the palmist should be even more comfortable.

As for the size, I've yet to see the new Pros in person, but I guess the size of the 14 inch should be adequate.
