Right I have been following your saga, my comments were about your expectations on the qualify of the refurb.

Do you have a new SIM that you are using in a temp phone? Have you dropped your iPhone data plan?

If not and you are just doing without a phone until your new "refurb" arrives, you can activate the new SIM Online or by calling Customer Care. Your new "refurb" will arrive with a new SIM ready to be activated.

thanks for the help dave, i appreciate it, i had to talk to quite a few people from att and apple till i was finally not confused anymore, but you've been the most help. I'll let you know the quality of the refurb when i get it. i'm going to be getting a white 16gb one. so hopefully it wont have any of the problems i heard the white ones were having. if anything i can just take it to an apple store. but i'd rather not have to do that. I hear refurbs are tested though so i should get a good one.

i didnt drop my data plan as ive only been without a phone for about a week now, it sucks and i have no phone right now but i'll just deal with it and wait till i get my new phone.

My roommates puppy got a hold of my day 1 3g and put some tooth marks in it. I saw that I could get the refurb for 16gig for 299 so i decided to sell my chew toy phone on ebay. I sold it for enough to get a refurb and i have had no problems with the 2 weeks ive had it.
