That is one of the worst cell phone designs I've ever seen.

It looks terribly awkward and uncomfortable to hold.

Not to mention, it's pretty fugly.

That thing will be like a catapult every time you want to press the Home button if its sitting on a table or desk. (I do this frequently to check the time).

There is no way this will be anything even close to the new iPhone. And if it is, I sure won't be buying it.

No, but i would if the iPhone 5 looked like this:

That does look pretty slick - truth is I'd buy the 5th Generation no matter how it looks. It's what's inside that matters to me.

Same here :)

does everyone think the internal parts magically disappear in these teardrop designs? on top of looking like ass, having no room for battery or antenna, they're bound to be slippery as hell to hold onto and would rock like a cradle when laying on a table.

My Thouhgts Exactly..

I'm thinking of getting a iPhone 5. It will be my 1st iPhone. (in fact I haven't even owned a mobile phone in years, my last phone was a Nokia 3210!)

But if it looks like that 1st picture, I'll go for a iPhone 4. I don't like the shape around the home button (it makes it look cheap). And the teardrop shaped body is nasty.

I really hope it looks the same as the iPhone 4, or that 2nd picture.

 I couldn't live without my phone! :D

I would buy that. But, I prefer the square-ness of the iPhone 4. Unfortunately, I think that Apple will probably do something like this - which isn't bad, but I just prefer the square shape of the current iPhone.

And the first design, from the OP, is disgusting and I would rather buy the iPhone 4 for £100 less, than pay for that, even if it had an 8mp camera, with 1080p vr, NFC, 3D no-glasses display, A5 chip, LTE. But, if it has an 4 inch screen, I'll have to buy it, even thought I'll be sick every morning when I see it.

I will stick with my iPhone 4 regardless, but that mock up is ugly as sin and I'm glad apple has the sense not to make something that looks so terrible.
