Only if Apple has a half off sale and there are no other previous generations to choose from.

Not for 1.499 Euro i wouldnt.

Either way, the X is indeed too small for me so i will stick to my 7 Plus.
I’d like to think that rather than pushing the price even higher they might start the plus at current X pricing and reduce the smaller model by 100... probably wishful thinking but at some point they’re going to pass people’s price tolerance

at this point we don't even know if there will be another X. this year's X might just be a one time release. they could just have the X as the new "regular" iphone like the current 8 and introduce a new iphone X+. sell the current X design for 849 and the + for 999.

If Apple indeed does release an iPhone X Plus in 2018, would you purchase it?

Personally, I wouldn't. I'm excited to have a large screen with a smaller form factor with the iPhone X. After having an iPhone 6s Plus, I wouldn't go back to a smaller screen... but the form factor of the Plus can be unwieldy at times.

Absolutely. I'll enjoy the heck out of my X in the meantime, but I'd love an X Plus. Hopefully 2018 will have one.

I wish they had just kept the same size form factor of the 6 or 6 plus but just removed most if not all of the bezel and home button.

I don’t mind the notch, they have to put the cameras and extra sensors somewhere. But I don’t get why they created another form factor in between the normal and plus size.

Yes. It does.

I don't understand the concern with the bump. You're willing to use a 50LB G5 tower, an over one inch thick 17" MBP, but Apple can't have a less-than-one millimeter lens on their camera of a pocket sized, all-day-battery supercomputer with otherwise stunning features - build quality, software, portrait mode, etc packed into the thickness of a pencil?

You're kneecapping your own experience over a cosmetic grudge.

I use what I like. Which is a subjective, personal decision that I don't begrudge anyone else for not sharing.

You and I it seems place different values on the things we like/want in a device.

I'm not sure yet. I should have a better idea after a few months of owning and using the X. I've been using a Plus iPhone since they first became available. I'm accustomed to the larger screen (especially the width) and mostly the phone size is ok but there are still occasions where I wish the body was a bit smaller. The X may be the perfect balance, but I'm going to have to give up a little width and we'll see how that goes. If I find myself longing for more display, the X Plus will definitely be of interest.

Only if it costs more than $2000. :D Anything less that $2k is too cheap and thus not worth my time. Hear that Timmy? Raise the price!!!!

Except that the camera bump thing is so minor I haven’t ruled this out as a huge troll attempt.

To you it may be a minor thing because it's not something you place any priority on.

To me, it's a big thing because I buy based on aesthetics and this is not something that appeals to me aesthetically.

Lastly, if I were a troll I think the camera bump and it's subjectivity to opinion (being neither right nor wrong but based on preference) would not be a topic I'd use.

Neva, I want smaller phone bigger screen.

Exactly. I’m 6’3” with big hands and I find it difficult at times to take a selfie if I stretch my hand out all the way. A smaller iPhone X with a larger screen is exactly what I need in my life!

Pretty much how I feel. I voted no. I’ve loved my plus size for the past couple models and I don’t want to go down in screen width. BUT I’ll try the X and see how it goes because I have the iPad for home and since I got an AW I’m in the mood for a smaller phone since I still have to carry it. The rumored X plus size is just Too Big for my taste.

People troll based on subjectivity all the time, it’s actually almost always how people troll on forums like these. However, I’m not saying you’re doing that.

I’m intrigued that it’s about aesthetics as opposed to functionality and the common “lay the phone flat on a table” argument. Personally I actually find the stainless steel rim around the protruding camera lens on the X to look very elegant, and I’m happy it allows for what will be the best camera system ever on an iPhone. I know you’ve said you don’t care much for camera quality, but many do (and it’s the most popular camera in the world) and they kind of have to cater to the majority.

It’s likely that this bump will never go away, as the result of it going away would either be a thicker phone or an inferior camera system, neither of which Apple is likely to implement. Could you not just throw a nice leather case on the device and pretend the camera was flush?

To the OP’s question: I will absolutely be buying the larger X (or XI I suppose) in 2018.

No, tired of using large phones regular sizes are okay for me now. Used 6 Plus and 7 Plus. Now on 8 regular.

absolutely. an iPhone X plus sounds wonderful if the only difference is the display size.
