Would you buy the 3rd-gen iPad in a 1st-gen design?

I'm split. I don't like how the original wouldn't sit flat on the table. But I don't like how "sharp" the edges are in the 2/3rd generation. You can't cut even bread with it, but after about 10 minutes of holding the thing to read, there are creases in my hands.
