I’d pass. The XS is not enough of an upgrade if you have the X. If you have an iPhone 7 or something like that then that would be a different story. I’d just wait for the 11.

Where are these prices coming from? Have I teleported back to 2008? I sold my iPhone X 256gb for $725 surely yours has to be worth more than 425.... and where in the world are you getting an XS for 585... the fact that you are paying tax tells me its not from some private seller.

I upgrade to the XS from a X and have regretted it since pretty much the beginning. Hold on to your phone (and your money) and wait for the next release.

On Craigslist many buy a fake sealed iPhone XS clone, which is indistinguishable to a real one until you open it. No way you will be able to get a XS for half the price. A used xs goes for 890 on swappa. Avoid Craigslist unless you can meet at the Apple store.

I was resently in Shanghai and they sell xs max clones for $200.
They look really perfect even the Os. Amazing what they can build for this money.

Your out of pocket expense is going to be more than $160. Either way, do what you want.

It is illogical to ask strangers if they would do what you want, when they aren't the one's paying your bills, nor are they privy to your cryptic, vague 'want to purchase from source unknown' details.

No, the XS isn't worth the upgrade for $585. Save your $ towards something else, even if it is the iPhone XI.

You’re right, the changes are to incremental from the X to the XS. Unless somebody wants the larger display, that would just be for the larger display. But if somebody upgrades every single year, they may not appreciate the changes, because some of them might be more minor. In the average consumer standpoint eyes, they don’t see all the small changes, it’s usually whatever Apple markets that they want them to see, like major camera upgrades, Face ID, etc.
