I think that Apple will release a space black model next year for the iPhone 7 and I'm thinking it will be wildly popular.

If they released a much darker color than the current space gray would you have chosen it this year? Or would you have stuck with your gray, silver, gold, rose gold?

I'm still just waiting for green. Aside from that I don't really care. I use a case anyway, until we get green, then I'll either do a clear case of have to seriously consider going naked for the firs time ever.

It wouldn't have been enough to get me to upgrade from the 6+ to the 6S+, but the next time I upgrade it would have been tempting. Although now that they have gotten thin enough that I have to use a case all the time the color of the back doesn't matter too much to me.

iPhone 5 slate was the best color to date. That thing was beautiful and almost stealthy looking out of the box. Space grey is dull and boring. But I stick with it for the black front.
Definitely, agreed. The slate 5 was amazing. I had the Black 3Gs. Completely black back and front with a slim, polished bezel. That was a gorgeous phone as well.

I would definitely get a space black for the 7. I went with white/silver for the 6s Plus this time since I have always had black since the very first iPhone. Needed a change. But I am sure I will be over this dalliance with white by the time the 7 comes around.

It was beautiful. And something I noticed on Apple's website is that the space gray iPhone always look much darker in the marketing than in real life. They seem to make it match the space gray of the new MacBook. Screen Shot 2015-09-20 at 9.05.36 AM.png Screen Shot 2015-09-20 at 9.05.17 AM.png

Don't know (didn't vote). I would have to actually see the Space Black and compare it the Space Gray.
Sounds like a nice idea though.

Yes, Apple has a bad habit of making the light Space Gray darker than it really is, but at least it's the same hue.
