Would you have chosen a space black iPhone 6s/6s plus if Apple offered it this year?

black looks great but unfortunately Apple likes colors that don't show buffs scuffs and nicks. Looks as though Apple doesn't want to up the cost of the iPhone's finish to prevent these

I don't think you can blame Apple for playing it safe with the iPhone after the fuss that was made with the Slate iPhone 5. I can afford to make something like the watch darker because it won't have anywhere near as much abuse. A phone is handled, put down, chucked, you name it and will attract chips etc. Most are out in cases I know but still.

While I loved my slate iPhone 5, I did hate the scuffs it came with straight out of the box.

Also, watches don't exactly dodge the "wear and tear" bullet.

What I wish Apple did was use the same new space grey from the 6th gen iPod. Bought mine shortly after release and after a couple months of naked carry, it still looks amazing.

The grey colour of the new iPod Touch is awesome, had a look at one today (and was tempted to buy one for that alone). I hope they roll it out for the next iPhone.

Un-American."

Exactly....once the Native Americans were mostly killed off, nothing but immigrants afterwards.
Oh aren't you clever.

I have the space black watch, I would definitely consider paying a premium for a DLC phone. I'm sure it will never happen but I can dream.

At this point I'll probably always go with some variation of Gold.

Heck, I would have been happy had they gone with the darker Space Gray found on the Apple Watch. I have no idea why they've chosen to retain the boring light Space Gray that basically looks silver.
I read somewhere that the darker shade is harder to produce, hence more costs to Apple.

This year I was going to go with the Space Gray just to have the black bezel and then get a black case for the back. However, I forgot all of that when I was ordering. I guess I was more focused on getting a 128GB 6s+ instead of the color and got the Silver again, just like my 6+. I do like the color, but this will be the 3rd white phone in a row. I wish they would have more colors. I would LOVE a red phone. A blue would be nice, too.

I pick whatever has a black bezel. It goes in a case, so whatever the back looks like doesn't matter, but the touchID ring may make a difference (wishing for black bezel on a gold phone).

I didn't day watches dodge 'wear and tear' but they don't encounter anywhere near as much as a phone.

I suppose I don't have any particular strong feelings on this to be honest. It's just a shade of grey to me.

I'm disappointed they didn't release the rumored electron blue.

Most definitely! Space Black would be so sexy, professional, and business-like.

Until then I am satisfied with my Gold Plus or getting a Silver model. Don't have a problem with white bezels…think it looks more Apple in my personal opinion. SG was probably the dullest looking iPhone color option in my opinion. YMMV.

I just couldn't pass on a Space Black given the opportunity.

Another question: let's say Apple charged a premium for the Space Black? Maybe instead of the devices starting out at $649 full retail they started out at $699. Apple claimed the up charge was for special technology and materials that made it so the device wouldn't get scuffed or scratched as easily as the Slate 5. Would you pay?
