No - probably will have to compromise with the design, plus the one in the current iPhones is fine. I'd take a mm thinner over a removerable battery any day.

I would specifically not like to see a removable battery. It is removable enough as it is now. And will probably also be for the next iteration of iPhone (seeing rumors of the parts now, it will probably be harder to remove)

Of course removing the battery is a nice feature, but at what cost?

The cost is that the battery will be smaller and be able to hold less charge.
Seeing my track record for actually swapping batteries in my phones (the last 16 years), It has never happened. Why do I remove batteries when i do? to cut the power! what do i do on the iPhone? Hold Power and home til it reboots.

I've had mobile phones for nearly 20 years. Most have had removable batteries. I've never, ever swapped a battery. Ever. Only time I see the battery is when I drop the phone and the stupid door flings off and the battery ends up on the floor. Can't happen with the iPhone.

Removable battery would be a massive negative for me.

I bought a hex screwdriver on e bay for $.99. My iPhone battery is removable by unscrewing 2 screws and popping the back off.

Removable battery or not? I say yes because I feel like the lifespan of the battery will last so much longer if it was removable.

Please explain what you mean by this.

I say "no," by the way, because I would rather have a smaller form factor and longer battery life to being able to remove it.

I can already imagine if they made a removable battery, then there would be one more part that requires putting together. There will likely be complaints about loose battery doors, etc etc.

I agree.

I've never once changed a phone battery in all the years I've owned mobile phones.

I have a Blackberry as a second device, which I've owned for almost 3 years. The only time the battery gets removed is to reboot it when the device becomes unstable. The battery still lasts over 2 days with very heavy usage.

Personally, I do not want to see a removable battery... Mainly because my iPhone 4S has the feel of the quality product that it is. For how powerful the GS2 was when it first came out (when I owned one for work)... The back piece fell off a couple times and it felt cheap, which I did not like.

Battery Pack cases, car chargers, an extra charger at work maybe, and other options go a long way for me. I sit at a desk most of the day and I drive 40 minutes to work, so I have no excuse if either of my phones die.

For me a removable battery is not a priority. My phone usually lasts me through a day, so a removable battery wouldn't help me much.

No thanks on the removable battery for me. The times i have needed extra battery are few and far between. Not worth the design sacrifice.

No. I have had every iPhone model since the beginning, and passed each one of those on to at least one person. I have never wanted to swap out the battery and neither have any of the family members who used my old phones.

The biggest issue for me, is the removable battery cover would really detract from the phone. What would it be made of, and how well would it hold up?

From my point of view, any removable part to the phone is a bad idea...

I understand the YMMV, but for me, I like the iPhones as they are...

Nah. Design compromises would have to be made and since I have so many friggin devices (Razr Maxx, Droid X, iPhone 4, iPad, Kindle Touch, Sansa Clip, iPod), I would MUCH rather have ONE portable external battery that can be used for all of the above than carry around a spare battery for each.

I wish they would but I highly doubt it. If the new iPhone has a longer lasting battery though, then it wouldn't really matter. Just a smidgen more please :)
