Yes, they are. If it benefits the company then they wouldn’t charge but if they’re not gonna benefit from it they’re going to charge people. Either way I want no part of this myself.I think these companies are going to have a reality check as the amount of people who opt out will be significant. An option with it and without it needs to be the standard if they wish AI to be used.
I believe Apple will probably roll out Apple Intelligence like they did Apple TV channels, that is, while they don’t have a lot of content or function, it will be free, but when they increase the amount of functionality, they will start charging. As long as they don’t charge an arm and leg I will pay. But we can’t be talking more than 2.99 a month.
True.The problem with that strategy is that first impressions last.
A lot of people will do the free trial; think it's garbage and ditch it once it gets pay walled; never to look into it again.
