Yeah I'm happy with my macbook. I know it's not the fastest machine in the west, but it serves most of my purposes well enough.

It's looking like I may be able to re-acquire my previous Macbook Pro (along with my 24" Dell display) my dad is pretty much ready to make the full-switch to mac now and he will be getting an iMac soon enough.

The unit I had was the 2.33Ghz 15" model. It's got 3GB of ram, 256MB of VRAM and a not so large 120GB HDD (I would most certainly upgrade that ASAP)

I think that unit would be pretty sufficient still for another year or two. I could then keep my macbook for travel, or possibly even just sell it off and save up the money.

Anyone have any thoughts on the 2.33? Still a viable machine for a photo-centric workflow with some video work as well (light-weight HD editing)
