I'd love to see the iPhone 5 screen go up to AT LEAST 4".

Unless you have average to below average sized hands, I don't see how this phone doesn't feel too "thin" when out of a case.

I'm not complaining because I love the iPhone 4, but I wouldn't object to it being slightly thicker or larger either.

Even though the spec sheet says 3.5" screen, I think it truly measures 3.7", so another .3" couldn't be that hard, and I have to think it would be worth it.

That said, I don't even own an iphone 4 yet (I have the money for it, but I can't buy them yet because of gift card rules) but I do have an ipod touch. I think the 3.5" screen is fine and I can't wait to see the clearer retina display text in person. All that said, if battery life was a big concern, I would make the phone wider/taller before I would go thicker and make the screen a big bigger in the process. Just my $.02.

Increase the footprint by a few millimeters, include a 4.0" display and a larger battery. Name it iPhone Pro in keeping with the precedent Apple set with MacBook and MacBook Pro, and offer it in _addition_ to the regular iPhone. This preserves the original for those who prefer it, and gives Apple one more device to offer customers.

IMO, the iPhone 4 is the perfect size. The battery lasts me for 2 days, so I'm great with that! My 3GS couldn't even last me a day. TBH, the only hardware addition I'd like is a notification light with maybe a front facing flash for face time. I'd like a 4" screen if it means the phone can stay the same thickness.

Depends on how much more time it give me. But it sucks for Apple now. They can only stay the same size or thinner or people will go crazy.

True enough, i never thought of that. I think the only way we'll get a bigger battery is if apple makes the screen slights bigger, and the phone a big wider. Thicker probably isnt an option.

I couldn't believe the iPhone 4 could get any thicker.....

It's already like a brick in your pocket ... Any thicker and you'll need a European man's purse to carry it.

I wouldn't mind it being a mm or two thicker if it meant better battery performance. i haven't had issues with battery performance yet, but that's only because I've been home all day for summer break. Once school starts, I know it's going to be a different story. Hopefully I'll have a teacher who'll let me charge my phone during his/her class, like my AP US History teacher did last year. She was awesome. She always has fresh hot cocoa for anyone who comes into her room:)
