The yellow goes away after a few days. I too had the yellow but it's gone now. It's just adhesive that isn't dried yet.

It's been three days now and the yellow line is still there. How many days do I have to wait for it to go away?

I saw a post somewhere about adhesive but I don't if that was an opinion or fact? I'm pretty sure mine is not going away though but I'll report back and let you know.

I said major APPLE disaster. I'm not comparing this in any way to the tragedy in the gulf. How condescending.

I was pointing out, that this is just a blip in the grand scheme of things. Did the dropped calls of the 2G effect the sales? Did the yellow screens and dropped calls effect the 3G's sales, etc.

I apologize if I came across as condescending to you when I pointed out that there are real problems out there, compared to an inconvenience of dropped calls.

Look NBC is gonna do whatever it takes to try and degrade an demoralize any successful business we have in this country. They seem to think that as a corp policy . If you are making money in this country as a corporation the current administration and it's ally(NBC) are gonna do whatever it takes to bring you down. FACT. It is exactly this kind of sensationalized journalism that breeds like cancer in this country.

Yeah I started this thread...yeah I am a fanboy....yes I think Jobs is one of the most savvy CEO's we will see in our lifetimes. I just love how every time Apple does have a boo boo it seems like every one in the media is on them like a fly on chit. Lets see how many times has Microsoft been completely hammered in the press for all it's security flaws and poorly designed software that doesn't work? It's usually a small blip at the end of the broadcast and you never hear of it again . Yet it continues to produce an inferior product. Granted this is not a fair comparison because they are not a hardware manufacturer

I guess my point being when Apple , the greatest computer co to date, has a f up they get trounced from every angle and I think it's sensationalized and waay over done. It is a kin to breaking your 5 yr olds arm when he steals a cookie from the counter. I saw this play out last year with the whole Toyota issue. A company that has had a spotless record on safety and reliability and they got slaughtered.(ok yeah a few people died) but the media drama is getting old.

It's sensationalised to both degrees. Their products are over-hyped by the media, and then when they go wrong, they're over-egged by the media. It's not like Apple only get sensationalised bad press, they get sensationalised good press too. Microsoft tend to get middle-of-the-road press right along.

If Apple didn't know this was gonna be an issue for a lot of people they never would have made the 'bumper'. When i saw Steve Jobs first explain the reasons behind the design to then say 'oh and we are making a case called a bumper'

:apple: <- can't touch this.

....and a $30 bumper at that!!!!!!

For what it is worth.....I have taken over 150 calls since launch..Now granted I know it is a VERY small sample size and I am only 1 advisor.....But to be honest I have not taken a single call in regards to the reception issue...Maybe I have been lucky.....Mainly what I have been helping people with is data transfers from their 3Gs and 3Gs's...Oh yeah..that and iOS 4.0 bombing out TONS of devices during upgrading....
