Embarrassing! My family are Asian-Americans but we would never do this. My husband always like to say, "they're out to make a quick buck or two. It's how most Asians are." For me, it's about morals. I don't care how desperate people are, work extra hours and make that money if you have to.
Here I am a week later, no iPhones. I have checked the website everyday since launch day, really stinks. :roll eyes:

This has nothing to do with race, jesus people. Apple DOES NOT care about your morals. Money is money for them. And cash? That's even better as they don't pay any fees. We are on this planet to survive and make money any way we can. Don't like scalpers? Too bad because Apple doesn't care what you think.

Sad but oh so true :(

These threads are the funniest things I have ever read. I can almost guarantee that 99 percent of everyone on this forum would do the same exact thing and sell their own phone to make a easy 3-4000 dollars if they were able to do it. No difference between buying an extra phone and scalping it or buying multiples and selling it. Scalping is scalping.

Photographers take candid pictures of people everyday for various reasons and are never cited as being creepy, so what's different with this? I don't get it.

On the path to becoming a serial killer? Really?

Well...I'm just going to say this. Apple takes a whole bunch of rocks, metals and glass ...and sells it to you in a cardboard box for $600+. Just sayin'.

If they are following a pregnant woman around and secretly taking her picture. Yea that is creepy.

She is in a public area so she doesn't have a reasonable expectation to privacy.

but seriously you guys are missing the forest for the trees.

Try doing the same then. By your logic i'm expecting you to become filthy rich in a moment!

I paid off my iPhone 6 plus yesterday at att and then thought " I'm available to upgrade. Maybe I'll get an another iPhone and resell it".

But after dropping $900.00 I realized that I wouldn't make that much money on selling the other phone anyway ( it's a lot of money and just not worth my time).

If they have a way to make $$, on top of the fact that Apple already made theirs, more power to her. They are dropping $erious ca$h. Soon anyone will be able to walk into apple or att and get any iphone once the hype and stocks are replenished. And they could be left holding the bag once everyone realizes that.

I needed 12 phones for my family members in Korea so I simply went to Best Buy and got 12 Verizon iPhone 6.
Needed a couple more for friends during my trip so went back a couple times for more.
Threw out the Verizon Sim card and it works on our carrier over there.
No line, no wait.
Nobody took my picture.

Best Buy sold Verizon iPhones without activating service?

Ah, guess I missed the part where he said he was following her around. In that case I agree.

OP here. I was not following anyone. I was at the table waiting for my phone to come, get activated etc which is where I witnessed this group buying 2-3 phones, going back in line (which was short as it was late in the day), buying more, etc. Some were at the table with me, some were at the adjacent table. My arse was on the stool the entire time.

These people you are referring to ARE working extra hours by waiting in line early in the wee hours of the morning to earn $$$. Some of these people are unemployable or are too old to get a job or do not have the skill set to keep a job so they resort to this type of work to put food on the table for their families.

I am not condoning their actions, but my point is they are working more hours than most people do to earn minimum wages. Yes they are desperate hence they are out there waiting in line and being humiliated to make a buck or two. If one needs to feed one's family, he/she would work harder than others to ensure survival.

I own a company and I regularly purchase iPhones, iPad, and MacBooks for my employees, business associates, and family members. Does that give one the right to judge me based on how many iPhones and iPads I buy at every launch?

"This person went through the line six times crossing off order numbers. In one day."

How long did it take to get your phone? You watched her get in line 6 times. Watched her crossing off order numbers. Watching her showing her ID. Not know what she was saying as you said they didn't speak English.

I love them scalpers. Made $200 of them for doing nothing. Seriously taking pics is creepy. We all know they were tons of scalpers, we don't need the pics to prove anything.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. If it was worth it for someone to go through the line 10 times to buy 20 phones using cash to make turn around for a profit, so be it.

It's quite obvious from the OP that the man and lady wanted the phones more than anyone else in line that day. Any given day, you win or you lose. When it comes to getting an iPhone 6+ delivered, I've been losing for two weeks now.

6+'s go for $3k+ in the middle east and china right now. All the rich people that live in 3rd world countries are clamoring for them, and the reason why it's sold out here in the US is because most people buy them and then ship resell them out of the country

95% of the scalpers are all from one continent as well

Let me see, the buyers are in China so it makes sense that the scalpers are mostly Chinese and not Germans. Geez when I tried to get tickets to concerts and sporting events, guess what 95% of the ticket scalpers are American. Nothing special just common sense.

Nothing wrong with that. Supply and demand.

What is morally wrong with scalpers? They have to go through the same process as everyone else to get iPhones. It's not like they are skipping the lines or paying off Apple employees to get extra iPhones, they are jus waiting in line over and over again which I consider a waste of time but not morally objectionable. Sure they are reselling at a higher cost but the people who are buying from the scalpers are just lazy or value their time or stupid.
