Wrapsol + sleeve or case only?

You love the FEEL of it, yet you are covering it up?

Once you start using an Apple product unprotected, you easily get the best use out of it. At the rate re-sale prices are dropping it wont matter if an Apple product has scratches on them or looks new.

resale prices are dropping? figures..semi-interested in selling/upgrading my MBP..

any links to where i might be able to specifically look into current asking prices, etc? or just check the usuals - amazon, craigslist, ebay?

GA kiosk for CF skin wrap -

$105!!!!

GTFO, that is RIDICULOUS.

Shoot, no delivery today so far. Looks like tomorrow, then. Great, I'm usually balls to the wall all day on Friday.

Eh, you get what you pay for. They've got quality stuff, do flawless installs, and offer a lifetime guarantee. It's not like I'm paying $1500 for a replacement SSD.

And the black just looks totally bad-ass on the Air. If it were a regular transparent, eh, probably not.

Also looks like my bookbook will be arriving tomorrow. Maybe Friday won't be so bad then.

I bet you refer to the 13" MBA, correct? The 11" version for the 2010 MBA didn't have the oversize problem for the lid.

Yeah, it as the 13" that did not fit. As for applying, I make my own mix of water and a few drops of dishwashing soap in a large sprayer. I peel off the wrapsol using a piece of tape, spray/soak the wrapsol, wait a few seconds for excess solution to drip off, and then lay it down. Soap lets it slide around a little bit. The wrapsols are pretty easy to apply.

Baha, great point regarding feel. I'm leaning to no skin now, since it'd really be a huge shame to cover this beautiful aluminum up. However, I'm surprised that you mention resale prices dropping quickly. I thought one of the main points of Apple products is that they hold their value remarkably well?

I think comparatively well may be more accurate as of late. Design, aesthetics, features of the models, along with their perception as premium brands by most will help sell a mac faster than a beige or black plastic wintel.

Back in the power pc days, updates were slow and modest. Twas easier to resist upgrade fever when the new powerbook had a 1.33ghz G4 instead of your 'old' 1.25 ghz. You could literally sell a well maintained year old notebook for a couple of hundred dollars off of MSRP. A friend of mine was a professional writer who was happily using four and five year old systems to make his living when I first switched.

The good news is that we no longer suffer from spec envy after the intel transition. The bad news is that we now suffer from 'faster, longer, better' upgrade fever like in the windows world due to the switch. I'm literally looking at my week old macbook air and wondering what new and exciting features will come with the new bridge to be crossed next year.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....follow my blog as I twitter about it!

Their skins may be good thei kiosks suck. They gave a stranger my brand new iPhone 4 then handed me his address to get it ... Without asking him. Just oops here is his name and address.

Fortunately the guy was honest.

Sorry/glad to hear about that. I intend to stay pretty damned close when they install carbons on my '11 13" and '10 11".
