writing or typing

the only time i do write is for my maths classes and for studying - i can remember much much better when i write things out by hand.

Same here, I write things down when I want to remember them.

If I'm making notes then a pen and paper. I'm a fast typer but I like the freedom of pen and paper for quite notes and sketches. Post it notes and shopping notes are all paper based too.
But for anything else - typing.

If it's prose I prefer to type.

If it's math/engineering calculations I much prefer to write by hand.

definitely typing for me i am a lot quicker at it than writing and plus you can just hit the backspace if you make a mistake none of this liquid paper!

My handwriting is terrible. My typing is excellent, so yeah, I prefer typing. I can type a WHOLE lot faster than I can write. My signature is......horrible!

Writing. Much faster to fix a mistake. Type the notes as a study habit.

Typing. I can type wayy faster than I can write, and my mind works in a much faster/better way, so that I can create better essays, think of better words and synonyms etc. My handwriting is so bad, lots of people can't read it. However my friend's handwriting is SO abysmally bad, that during exams he can actually use a laptop to complete exam papers such as English or History. He also has dyslexia so he even gets extra time. If I had that situation I'm sure I would get much better grades than I do currently..
