I'm gonna cast a ballot for curmudgeonette at this point.

Wow, what a welcome.

Why, you ask? Well, he/she is brand new to MR and by far the player I am least familiar with.

She. Hint: the "-ette" suffix.

With Plutonius's brief vote having placed WoodNUFC - for all of three seconds - at four votes, in the event of a tie, he is now in line to be lynched.

I never saw such a maneuver in the time I was lurking in these threads!

Because the day 1 change from Moyank to Pluto doesn't make sense, I'm going to vote for Tomorrow.

BTW, both of the dearly departed last voted for ravenvii. I don't know what that means.

I'm not sure that their votes - for @ravenvii - were linked to their demise - or, rather, I suspect, not directly, at any rate.

Day 1 tends to be a bit of a…….musical chairs day, - and, by the end of it, knowing little, one person is left exposed without a chair and duly executed. It is rare - but not impossible - to catch a WW this way on Day 1, and when it happens it is always a fortunate accident.

Voting patterns make sense only with hindsight, and not always even then.

The Day 1 switch from Moyank to Plutonius does make sense if you don't want to be seen as having voted for Moyank, but wish to ensure that your vote does not count towards an execution, or towards another pile on.

In the absence of compelling evidence, - such as how people vote, and when, and for whom, ad in what order, - and scans - it counts almost as a spoilt vote - by letting others make the choice of who to kill.

I can attest to the fact that you did not actually jump on me! :D

There is DEFINITELY a joke in there somewhere.*

Because the day 1 change from Moyank to Pluto doesn't make sense, I'm going to vote for Tomorrow.

Oh, play enough games with me and you'll learn that's my M.O. - nothing whatsoever to go on, pick a name out of thin air, offer to change my vote at the first sign of a defense, etc. But the other half of my M.O. involves dying on Day One, so there's that, too....

Ah, then. Briskly rubs hands and fetches pen and paper.

Methinks that it is time for the first tally of Day 2, as most of those who can vote have actually cast a ballot:

Ravenvii: (2): philbeeney, Plutonius

Tomorrow: (2): Don't panic, curmedgeonette

Scepticalscribe: (1): Sythas

Sythas: (1): rick snagwell

rick snagwell: (1): mrkramer

mrkramer: (1): Moyank24

Plutonius: (1): ravenvii

No-Vote: (1): Tomorrow

Yet to vote: mscriv, Queen of Spades, Dsching, and your humble scribe.

Both WoodNUFC (lynched) and Twietee (murdered) - both of whom were villagers - are dead.

Ravenvii, who reached the grand total of two votes first, is currently at the greatest risk of being on the receiving end of the mob justice of a lynching.

I need to play some defence, so I'm going to force a tie - mrkramer, who is suspicious for thinking I'm suspicious.
Well if you want to force me into a three way tie, then @rick snagwell might have to wait on that trip away from his computer to the beach as I'll switch my vote to put Tomorrow in first place with three votes.
[doublepost=1454702237][/doublepost]Also to add to the post that I just wrote, @Tomorrow why are you trying to force a three way tie when you could have put @ravenvii who was already ahead of you further into first place with a third vote? Are you both wolves so one of you needs to defend the other?

Because to vote for ravenvii would be an offensive manouver, placing him solely in jeopardy. At this point in the game, when I have no real idea who is and isn't a werewolf (other than myself and one other), I selected a defensive option, which is what I originally stated.

Now I have no real choice.

Fascinating. This has developed into an extraordinarily interesting voting process, one which is evolving into an intriguing battle of wits.

For now, then, the revised tally is as follows:

Tomorrow: (5): Don't panic, curmudgeonette, mrkramer, Moyank24, and Ravenvii

Ravenvii: (4): philbeeney, Tomorrow, Plutonius, Queen of Spades

Sythas: (1): rick snagwell

Scepticalscribe: (1): Sythas

Yet to vote, Scepticalscribe, Dsching, mscriv.

Tomorrow - post #144 seems to suggest that he 'and one other' are clear. Perhaps, this is a suggestion of the NW, perhaps, that of a special able to identify the true orientation and loyalty of another player, perhaps - very disingenuously - a WW playing a very clever word game.

However, for now, I'll take the discreet hint he has tossed out as one that was given in good faith, and highlight ravenvii's name in bolded print.

Tomorrow: (5): Don't panic, curmudgeonette, mrkramer, Moyank24, and Ravenvii

Ravenvii: (5): philbeeney, Tomorrow, Plutonius, Queen of Spades, Scepticalscribe

Sythas: (1): rick snagwell

Scepticalscribe: (1): Sythas

Yet to vote, Dsching, mscriv.

I'd say he was referring to Comeagain? who assigned him a role.
