Good job villagers :).

Twietee and Koodauw also played well as baddies (you had a chance to win at the end).

I was the seer and I'm assuming Rick was the guard.

The first night, I scanned Roric.
The second night no scan.
The third night, I scanned Moyank.

After the third night, only Twietee and Koodauw were not cleared so I knew that they were the baddies.

I agree with both of you. It's very much of a gamble. But if this could be tweaked somehow, I'm not sure if people would keep on being careless if voted for or not since the villains would be more threatening. Not sure if you felt really threatened by Koodauw and me. Probably not. ;)

I guess this format works very well for a quick fix. And definitely small parties. Probably even less people than now and only one baddie could work.

Oh, I didn't even realize specials didn't lose their abilities permanently. I would change this, ravenvii, for example. even less incentive to fight against ones questioning.
I thought you were the Seer, scanned one of us the first night, lost it and got Santa who claused by chance one of us two. That's why I voted for you (being amazed about the risk you took).

Thanks for taking part in this 'experiment'.

What do you think of the no-death game? Takes a lot of the edge off without the dying, doesn't it? Do you think there's anything that can be done to improve this style of gameplay, or is it a dead end?

I like the no-death game. Especially in the bigger games with more players, getting offed early on really is disheartening. This way, everyone can stay in the game (except for the bad guys, of course!)

A thoroughly enjoyable game (as viewed from the sidelines) with a nice atmosphere and a welcome lack of rancour. Well done, ravenvii.

While I like the no-death element to the game - and the rapid turnaround of turns, days and nights - it may need to be tweaked to allow the 'baddies' a bit more firepower during the night; they need to be able to impose some sort of genuine inconvenience on the 'goodies'. The idea of a moveable Santa Claus was a good one, and allowed for a degree of ambiguity; however, a most enjoyable game to drop in on.

I think this game re-run as is with the specials losing their powers if voted off, as well as 1 infection for the bad guys.

perhaps with 13 players?
