The guy live blogging for MR sounds like he has a a bug up his you know what. Steve's sick and dying, too much time on Photo Booth (Jobs played with it for like 10 minutes one year), blah blah this isn't like a normal keynote blah.

Wow, automatic document versioning. DEC was doing that in the eighties on OpenVMS. If I were a Mac user, I would be disappointed so far with the Lion presentation.

I'm sure VMS had user friendly versioning your grandma would use. Yeah, right. It's 2011 and most of the world has no idea what versioning is. They will now.

Grandma don't get Git.

Getting tired of the biased comments from the blogger with an agenda. I want updates on what's happening, not your opinion on what's good or not.

So the best new features they have to show in an operating system presentation is a new mail client?! Apple are you serious?

What's the airline company doing there?

Delta changes. When it saves versions, it just saves the differences in the versions.

I hope these new metal icons are just for marketing and they aren't the *actual* icons.

It was automatic. You modify a document, the file system would automatically write it as another version. Microsoft implemented "Previous Versions" (their take on automatic document versioning) in XP I believe. You are correct though, it is 2011 and most people don't know about these and many other technologies.

So, I don't know much about delta updates. But from what I gather it means that update file sizes will be less?

Yes, it only downloads the changes, not the whole app.

Ha, only in the app store. Knew it. People are going to be enraged on here...
