Mac Pro?
...
Timing may not, however, be in Apple's favor, as at this point the Mac Pro would be expected to adopt Intel's Ivy Bridge E processors, the full line of which is not expected until around September of this year.....

Ivy Bridge EP (Xeon E5 v2 ) processors; not 'E' ( Core i7 49xx ). There is about zero good reason to use the E variants.

In the Napster era, people thought 'Why would anyone pay for music anymore?' iTunes changed all this.

The music industry is still in the middle of huge changes.

I know right. I love Spotify so Apple will have to offer something different for me to switch.

iRadio will be a great music discovery service for Apple. It's more of a threat to Pandora than SIRIUS because SIRIUS has content & profits.

My hope is that Apple will buy SIRIUS XM with some of that huge pile of cash they are sitting on. Then Apple would OWN the car market. :)

Doesn't sound exciting at all, except for iOS. Can't wait till September / October so I can replace my 4S with a new iPhone.

No spoilerfree thread or notification when the keynote will be released? :(

iRadio? Who cares? I hate all radio. Pandora, etc. I shouldn't have to listen to music with advertisements. Radio is dead and has been dead for a while. Apple killed it with their iPod and they haven't even realized it yet? Jeez.

Pandora has 70 million active listeners (35% year over year growth).
4.18 Billion hours of listening. (35% year over year growth).
over 2.5 million subscribers, a 114% year over year growth in the first quarter.

And much more data available proving your statement wrong. No, radio isn't dead. Stop speaking out of your a** and assuming you account for everybody in the world.

iOS 7 and hopefully updated 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro's is what I am looking forward too :)

I hope at some point they also update the Thunderbolt display.

I'm looking forward to seeing what iOS 7 brings. I hope it will be more than skin deep.

The new Mac Pro will be interesting. I wonder if they will take it in a new direction. I would like to see it become more flexible in price points so that is more accessible at the lower end while still meeting the needs of current customers.

The Mac Mini hasn't been mentioned, but the Haswell integrated graphics could make it a more viable machine.

But I'll try to enjoy the ride rather than go in with preconceptions.

It already exists!

Other than iOS 7, I'm really excited for the mac lineup. I want to see a Retina Macbook Air. :D

I keep hearing this wish ... I've finally snapped! The 13" rMBP IS the Retina Macbook Air.

They've removed all the moving parts from a traditional Macbook (Pro or otherwise), jammed the smallest battery into it and slapped a 13" screen on it. The fact that it isn't $1299 or exactly as thin as the Air is what you're really wishing for. 13" Retina screens require more horses in CPU/GPU so the cooling space in the Air is inadequate and the motherboard footprint is slightly larger. Plus they require more battery power to operate over the desired operating duration. And they're more expensive. So until Apple can overcome physics and economics, the 13 inch rMBP is your desired 13 inch Air.

Having said all of that, I'm thinking that it will get a bit of a thickness tweak next week, due mostly to Intel's Haswell and possibly improved backlight efficiency. That adds up to smaller batteries and therefore a smaller chassis. And if they somehow bump the RAM up to 16GB...I'm in! Truth be told I'm in no matter what. Unless the new Mac Pro changes my mind about another desktop to replace my Mini.

Pandora is a good music discovery service. But There is zero barrier to do what Pandora does. The vast majority of Pandora's listeners are NOT paying subs. They are LOSING money hand over fist. They already have alot of competition, but with Apple entering the fray, its game over for Pandora. Apple will crush them.

Sirius wil be the only surviving competitor. They have the content and delivery system. If Apple were to buy SIRIUS with the huge pile of cash they have, Apple would OWN the car market....which lets face it is pretty much ground zero for radio these days.

If not paying for it how do you think it the bills get paid ( artists get paid, the transmission costs , etc. ) ?

Ads pay for "free" access.

If paying money to access the music than yes ads are annoying.

iRadio is primarily to play music that you didn't already buy. If a person's "bought music" library is large enough they probably don't need or want iRadio. However, folks who don't have a large library or are looking to find new stuff then the ads are a small tradeoff to find something new.

Is Mac rumours ever going to actually post the truth?

No one confirmed a New Mac Pro. They said something professionals would really like. Cook did not definitively state a new mac pro will be released.

Apple are not selling in the EU because they are too ***** lazy to comply with a law that was passed 3 years ago.

It's called MacRumors, not MacTruth.

Two deeply contradicting statements. One huge barrier to entry is having a giant pile of money to loose. Getting reasonable terms with the recording industry is another ( it has been blocking Apple for months). There are no new, unique/novel barriers but they are there.
