I've tested again and again on iOS 8.4 Beta 3, and the text string has never crashed my iPhone. I'm curious if it's limited to certain devices, if I'm Doing It Wrong, or if it's a bunch of people on an older version of iOS 8.x.

I have a 64GB 6 plus and a 128 GB iPad Air 2... Both with 8.4 beta 3.... The bug crashes both devices.

Well. In your phone, it never crashes. In my phone, it crashes everytime I try to crash it. I dont know what was happening on older version of iOS, but iOS 7.1.2 on iPhone 4 was free from this nasty bug.

However, due to this bug is so well-known that users may begin not trusting apple software development quality, a bug fix must be released. Since wwdc is almost there, I think apple could pack this fix with iOS 8.4.

iOS - Focus on stability
OS X - Focus on stability
Apple TV - Nothing apparently
HomeKit - out of the bag

I was really excited for the Apple TV stuff... It's been like three years already... Hopefully they have something halfway interesting up their sleeve :-/
Apple releases iOS 8- everyone says Apple needs to focus on stability. Worst update ever.

Apple announces iOS 9 with stability focus - worst update ever. Boring.

Get a life.

Apple needs time to wrap up.
IOS 9 could be the best choice.
Oh, as well as mac OS X 10.11.
Yosemite is a hell of a mess.

iOS 8.4 is not currently believed to be slated for release until late this month. I'd imagine, if Apple believes this isn't going to just die off, we'll see 8.3.1 followed by 8.4.

I have had problems with Yosemite but they all pale in comparison to the bugs I have had with iOS 8. 8 is an absolute mess. I can't wait to start testing the betas.

For me, WWDC is almost my most favorite keynote every year. Sure, it might be mainly software but I live for software improvements. The only keynote that is better is the iPhone announcement every Sept, and even then its a very tight race for me.

Wow I am a total geek. :p

For me, using a stable operating system and applications is the best what I want to have. Stability is the number one priority.

Oh, what the heck...:(

Really? I'm the total opposite. 8 has been pretty rock solid on my 6+, and I'm testing the 8.4 betas. Yosemite is still terrible and lags all over the place on retina Macs even on 10.4 betas.

WWDC is hands down the best keynote of the year. I don't care for hardware much since I'm not buying iPads, Macs, iPhones, etc...every year, but I sure as hell update my devices every year. The whole reason I buy Apple is for the software, not the hardware (except on OS X, that is a mix between hardware and software since no laptop can even come close to matching a retina Mac).

IMHO Yosemite is pretty stable but it's iOS 8 that's laggy. It could just be the hardware we're using. I did have a rMBP at one point on Yosemite but it died (hardware failure, multiple times). Nowadays my main computers are a nMP and cMBP, both running the 10.10.4 betas as well. My iPhone and iPad have been on 8.4 betas since the dev build dropped, but even before that on the public releases I always thought iOS 8 was very laggy on my 6 Plus. It's better on my Air 2 but there are still dumb little bugs here and there that need fixing.

I'm super excited to see if this will be a stability and performance release. That's all I want, really. Give me something that doesn't drop frames nonstop on my iPad and here and there on my iPhone. I want a rock solid 60FPS like what we had in iOS 6. Honestly, I will be disappointed if I see lots of new features because that means things will get even worse.

If apple doesn't pick up where they left off, I may consider not buying any future apple product. At least, devices except iPhone.

They seriously need a wrap up.

C#mon - it will be the epicenter of change.

Yeah, right.
They say this wwdc is a change of apple. We can expect anything would happen from this wwdc in fact, right? Even those unexpected ones. They are changing, and result is surely unpredictable.

Hopefully they're changing the streaming music industry. I personally cannot wait for that. Seriously, I'm not enjoying the Spotify trial too much.

What are you looking for/desiring from the streaming music industry? What innovations can Apple possibly do?

Spotify almost already has all music available on it to be listened to at any time. There are plenty of free/curated radio services. What exactly is Spotify not doing for you?
