Being real...are we really expecting anything as a surprise at this event?

Things I hope to hear (with prediction) --
  1. Siri in OSX (very likely)
  2. Always on Siri for Apple TV (not likely)
  3. Phone app on the ipad (not likely)
  4. Upgrade to iworks - pivot tables in numbers (not likely)
  5. Photos Pro to finally bring back all Aperture functionality (Pretty please, but not likely)
  6. Family Plan for data storage (maybe)
  7. Integration of Music Match with data storage plan (i actually am concerned that their streaming service will kill music match)
  8. Any love for the forgotten music downloaders (just saying that makes me sad)
  9. Better support for cable cutters in Apple TV (maybe some minor tweaks, but not expecting anything major)
  10. One more thing - Mac OS (seems likely)
  11. Okay one more after one more - some sensibility in product naming across the line (not likely, they seem to like the hot mess of their names)

They need to bring back the one more thing... The March event was so bad!!

I sensed how bad the March event was going to be... I sensed it was going to be so bad that I actually chose to skip it... it was the first Apple event I hadn't watched spoiler free since 2007. I still haven't watched the March event (but I read the news, so I know I missed nothing.)

I feel Apple is scraping the bottom of the barrel. I used to take the day off for Apple's keynotes, to avoid being spoiled. This year... I'll just have it streaming on the side of one of my monitors at work. I feel like this one is either going to be a disaster, or they're going to actually surprise us with something.

Since it's mostly software focused, they may have been good at keeping secrets this year.

Agreed! IOS 10 is going to be huge.. I feel like iOS 9 was more of an under the hood improvement of iOS 8.. Didn't really add to much.. But iOS 10 will be a huge leap..
Nah prob iOS 12 will be a huge leap since ram and other stuff has just started to be more powerful and they can't alienate older devices yet for a big leap.

The March event wasn't THAT bad, it's just the hardware was disappointing. Few people care about an upgrade to a 2012 iPhone.

It's all about efficiency, not power. Unless you're Android.

Efficiency does not bring big leaps while power does. There isn't anything huge to be made more efficient which would improve the iPhone drastically wout new power.

I have a feeling some at Apple would highly disagree with you on the last sentence.

I think as it's iOS TEN, it's going to be a fairly big update. It's not the 10th anniversary of iOS however. (iOS 1 was released on the 29th of June, 2007.)

Public Beta site (https://beta.apple.com/sp) is down for updates. I'm guessing they'll say to sign up today and the site will crash like last year.

And the Apple Store app isn't which means no new hardware. The store would be down by now if there was.

Where is the live blog? Can't find it, does anyone have a link?

EDIT: just seen it's now live on the homepage.

so are the banners going to be the black WWDC'16 things that are up now? No product related banner? that's weird.

MOD NOTE

We will be monitoring this thread for those that want to remain spoiler free, however please report anything that that is missed so we can review.
