WWDC 2026 is set to begin on Monday, June 8, and the event will highlight Apple's "AI advancements." Apple included the tidbit in its WWDC 2026 announcement.

WWDC26 will spotlight incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools.
Since iOS 18, we've been waiting for Apple to introduce a more intelligent version of Siri, and that might finally happen with iOS 27. We are expecting the Apple Intelligence version of Siri that includes personal context with support for new, deeper search capabilities, onscreen awareness so Siri can answer questions about what you're looking at, and the ability to do more in and between apps.

Apple is also working on a chatbot version of Siri that will rival ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, and we could potentially get a chatbot Siri preview at WWDC.

Apple's AI advancements wording hints at the inclusion of new Siri features, plus it suggests we could get other new AI capabilities as well. We have a full iOS 27 roundup on all of the iOS 27 rumors we've heard so far, which is worth checking out if you want a refresh on what could be coming.

2 things:

Since iOS 18, we've been waiting for Apple to introduce a more intelligent version of Siri, and that might finally happen with iOS 27
It's kinda funny that since the numbering system changed, it REALLY looks like we've been waiting for the "more intelligent version of Siri" for A LONG time (which we have, but it just looks like 9 Versions!)

Apple is also working on a chatbot version of ‌Siri‌ that will rival ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, and we could potentially get a chatbot ‌Siri‌ preview at WWDC.
Will it rival Gemini, if it IS Gemini?

The chasm between opinions on AI amazingly wide. Some like LeCun call current models a waste of time like a son in law that will never amount to anything, while others swear that it is just laying in wait ready to pounce the world into submission with it's autocomplete powers!

I think MR meant to say what they advertised 2 years ago and have miserably failed to deliver on ever since. Honestly, Apple is not the innovative company they once were. Instead we now see the tech with other companies and then with Apple but their UI.

They are just getting iOS into a stable spot and their projects co finite to cost more, be downsized, and called innovative. Tim Cook has drained all the talent out of the Company and they need an infusion of talent where they also pay their staff enough so they stay and are dedicated. Apple has sadly sunken from the once mighty perch they once held and I’d love to see them get back to products and not social causes. We don’t buy the brand for those things.

To prove that, of the quality disappeared and products became terrible, no one would care what their social causes are.

Less political fluff please!
