Will update when details announced.
[doublepost=1496683336][/doublepost]A Siri face that updates with info from most-used apps, a face that makes a kaleidoscope of a favorite picture, characters from Toy Story.
[doublepost=1496683556][/doublepost]New workout info and the ability to interact with workout equipment for more detailed data.

I Like the Siri based watch face. That will be useful on its own, especially with the Apple Watch interface.

Those updates to Workout app look awesome:

-autopause when stopping during a swim (I've been hoping for this)
-multi-sport workouts (can't wait to use this with brick workouts and triathlons)
-swipe during workout to see music controls

Maybe one day. Seems it's all about fitness and notifications in this update. I have no interest in cartoons on my watch face.

I also agree. I just want a clean, professional interface. I like the complications, but I also like having an actual watch face that resembles a Watch.

But .. sadly still no way to export GPS data from the Workout app to sites like Strava, Garmin Connect, etc. Also no mention of voice feedback during workouts using the Workout app like you get with Nike Run Club and others.

I still like your idea of the mechanical skeleton Apple Watch face. That would have been awesome.
I'd be happier with a "skeleton" electronic face, with a Tron-like "landscape" below the dial.

Well all know it doesn't have springs n' gears, and imitating them looks cheesy. It looked cheesy on the 6th gen iPod Nano (which I still own), and it won't be any more awesome on the AW, retina display or not.

I am skeptical we will ever see watch faces designed by anyone other than Apple. They are fastidious about the design of such things, and would not trust it to others.

It's not analog, either, but many like and use the analog dials. Basically, it's virtual reality. Why not offer a virtual, quality analog option?

I don't know...not sure about the new Watches, but i have my doubts that my Series 0 can animate those turning gears without noticeable lag.

That would be huge and I think Apple needs to eventually allow developers to have access to this. It would unleash some potential for the Apple Watch faces.

I personally wanted Apple to announce a Watch Face store today. Perhaps someday they will.

If they do, they'll make it only work on the newest model forcing millions to have to upgrade if they want a watch face that isn't designed for a 12 year old.

There's not much worth animating besides the balance wheel. But the textures you'll find on a real-life watch movement can't be replicated on an electronic display (no matter how hard Android Wear developers try).

For me, I understand the appeal of having watch faces for all demographics. But I do want to see some sophistication and classiness behind some newer watch faces we haven't seen yet. I really do like a lot of the previous watch faces that exist, but I have no interest in animated cartoons or Mickey Mouse.

Define "sophistication and classiness."

Any preference among these examples?

They are all lovely however they are also all round faces. Nog sure how that would translate to the square watch face as elegantly.

Well, if you were on the Pebble Watch Face store you would have seen that 90% of the available watch faces were crap. Lots of Boobs, Butts, and Middle Fingers. There were also tons of faces that were almost the same but from different developers. I still loved searching for all the great faces but you had to wade through a lot of muck to find it. Maybe Apple is trying to prevent this from happening.

I believe it is still a battery issue. If your code is too complicated the battery drain would be quite high over the course of a day.

yeah, we had some of those with the Pebble too. I liked one Watch face that had stars flying by non-stop. it would cut my battery by half. It wasn’t too big of a deal though. If people found that a watch face took too much battery, they just deleted it and found another one.

(I guess this Breguet is more tonneau than rectangular, but hey... ;) )
