Hey, UNEMPLOYED

Looks to me like those are both 15" models, one just being a larger image. I can see that the speakers look somewhat more slender.
If this is the "new design of the MBP" it's nothing special. The scratch pad is larger, though. WHy on earth is APPLE limiting itself by using an extremely thin formfactor??
What diff does it make if the machine is 3 mm thicker, and has better sound, better heat dissipation etc.?

AND ALL SCREENS WOBBLE BECAUSE OF THE HINGE DESIGN. CLEARLY FAULTY ENGINEERING!:D

Here are some images of the banner, MBP 15 & 17[/QUOTE]

One question

if that banner has everything that apple currently ships/makes - where the heck is the full body iPod??? I looked all over those pictures and only saw the nano. I understand not putting the shuffle up there but the not the iPod - are you serious?? I'm sure this will lend to speculation about nano's getting bigger HD's since there's no regular iPod in sight - haha.

If Boot Camp is supposed to be one of the biggest new features, where is identification of it on the poster?
I see on the Far Left Top corner 'Universal' but not boot camp. I finf this strange.
Does that Universal Logo mean more then just PowerPC+MacIntel? Maybe Mac+PC? 'virtualization'?

Hmmm...... If you look closely at the banner photo you'll see the "64-bit" logo is awfully close to the photo of the iMac. The current Intel iMacs are not 64-bit since the Core Duo (1) processers are 32-bit. Could this mean that the iMacs are going to get the new Core Duo 2 processers, which just happen to be 64-bit. Same goes for the MacBook Pros

I know everyone is over-analyzing the banner, but why is iPod pictured close to all the developer tools? Are they finally going to give us an API to program iPod?

The iSight isn't up there either. Maybe it's getting axed.

I think this thread has started to become unraveled. It's a freaking banner with somewhat arbitrarily picked/placed Apple products and software people! It's cool that we got to see Apple's welcome banner, isn't that enough?

But wait, now that you mention it....where the hell is the iPod Radio Remote?

mac mini is up there too.

Edit: is that a new black ipod (possibly video, maybe nano) right next to it?

Edit 2: the banner is not finished yet too, the macbook pro is only half done. maybe a more guarded part of wwdc. it looks like they can fit a bunch more stuff over at the edge. Edit 4: it looks like that edge is just a walkway. but who knows, maybe they could put stuff on it at the edge, above the walkway.

Edit 3: one of the ipods is on its side, maybe to hide the upcoming design.

Where have you seen this before?

Yeah, I said announced. Leopard has been announced since Macworld. That photo may have shown us the cover, but that is not groundbreaking and as nice as it is, as previously mentioned I'm sure it won't be the final disk label. In the words of MosDef, they ain't sayin' nothin' new...

I think you are right. Didn't it just get axed in europe? That may lend some credence to the iSight in the Cinema Displays.

If they put an iSight in the Cinema Displays and axe the stand alone iSight that would mean you would have to buy an ACD just to use the video stuff with the Powermac/Mac pro AND the mini. I wouldn't put it past them to do that but it would kinda suck. There have also been rumors of the IR reciever for Front Row being put in the ACD. If they didn't also put one on the Mac Pro, Front Row would be useless without an ACD hooked up. I agree with the above poster that we are all reading too much into the poster but oh well, it's fun. We'll all find out soon enough.

True, it would suck, but it would be a great deal to get them refurbished, though ebay will have inflated pricing, for sure.

It's true that it's all mostly in fun to speculate, it's just silly to get your hopes up sooooo high, because the will inevitably crash. The products apple releases is already miles ahead of what competitors create, but physical production, even by apples standards, rarely compares to what we imagine would be a a cool product release (referring to the iPhone rumor in particular). For everything else, like I said before, keep in mind that this is a developer's conference and that paris and I'm sure an as yet unannounced media event will bring the iPod and iMac updates your looking for. And if they happen on Monday, just enjoy the surprise. I have my credit cared with 3500 waiting for a new Macbook Pro, so I TOTALLY know what your all going through, but if you build it up to much you are just going to be disappointed. I would be just happy if the keep the same case, throw in a core 2 duo and make the hard dive bay upgradeable like the MacBook. Just that would have me smiling for months...

Actually it was announced at last years WWDC. And I'm pretty sure that is final since they changed it from what they showed perviously. ;)

Is WWDC being shown in Apple Stores? I don't see any info on the apple.com/retail pages.

No its not. There will be live text coverage on MR, and their will be a video of the keynote on apple's site within a couple hours after it ends.

Well that makes sense, as it costs lots of money for developers to attend... why should they show it for free live :) Thanks.
