Not that Twitter was all sunshine and rainbows before Rocket Man, but I can't wait until Melon Husk has to sell this site and it becomes almost usable again.

You're still not getting it. Doesn't matter what my boundaries or any one's personal boundaries are. One's boundaries shouldn't decide the fate of one's career.

No, but they decide whether or not I am personally interested in what they do from that moment on.

If I find the car salesman offensive, I will not buy the car from him.
I don’t want him to lose his job, and I might not even complain for his behaviour, however, if most people find the car salesman offensive, most people will not buy the car from him.
If the car salesman is not selling cars, he will likely lose his job.
That wasn’t my goal, but it turned out to be a consequence of his actions/words.

All companies have contract clauses stipulating against bringing the company into disrepute.
Even this website have rules about what people can and cannot say. You break the rules too many times and you are out. Cancelled.

I think all people make genuine mistakes from time to time (I have), and some people recognise they’ve made a mistake and are willing to learn from it (I have).
However, as others have said, “freedom of speech does not equate to freedom from the consequences of speech”, and that’s not something I can decide or control.

great, sounds like we're talking about something else

my point was if crossing your boundary caused you to encourage others to destroy one's career, that's a big no from me.

but if you just don't want to buy products from that person again, that's cool with me.

choosing to not employ someone at your company is not the same as destroying a career
For the most part, it is. Unless there is collusion like with Kapernick in the NFL. I don't see a problem with protesting companies that employ nazis, so they stop hiring nazis. If you are publicly advocating white supremacy, it should be hard for you to find a job.

The problem is not allowing for growth and change. We should allow people to move on from their mistakes if they've changed their views.

You reply to me but you don't want me to reply to you? Ok
No, I’m saying you’re replying to me about something you should have been replying to someone else about. Not sure why you’d be responding to me specifically.

nope. they'll find a job somewhere else.
You edited out my point to post a non-sequitur. Unless there's collusion, then "destroying a career" is just a bunch of people deciding not to employ people promoting nazis (or whatever).

He's accomplished a lot more than you, me or anyone else here ever will.

I think he's an arrogant jerk and not a good person, but I also am not going to make believe he's an idiot or a failure.
If my dad was a millionaire as well and set me up for life with the right financial advisors then I’m sure I could accomplish quite a bit without the worry of bills and responsibilities.

Define "nazi" and define "white supremacy" please. Outside of people like Nick Fuentes, I don't know of another person that espouses beliefs that could be construed as "white supremacy". As for "nazis" I don't know of any, outside of those that were on college campuses advocating for the exact things the National Socialist German Workers Party did (and engaged in) during the 1930's and 1940's.

When we hate person A, we believe person A's father if it makes person A looks bad, despite the lack of evidence for making person A look bad.
