I loved the movie and thought they did a great job. The only thing that I didn't like was that missed the ending credits. :(

I am excited about the Ghost Rider movie that is coming out in Feb 07.

I thought Ghost Rider looked ridiculous. The Omen looks pretty cool, I'm not a fan of horror films though. The new Adam Sandler movie looks good. I dunno about Superman though.

X-Men: The Last Stand was an atrocious piece of film making, let alone a bad comic book film. The only memorable sequence was the final one, which still left much to be desired. The only good thing was that it had all six of the original X-Men in it, but two of them die and another ..well, you have to see the scene after the credits. Ratner ruined the trilogy.

Do you not think the woman with Magneto who's power is to create shock waves looks like Prince, the music artist?
That was exactly what I was thinking when I first saw her too. I thought it was a guy at first though haha.

Exactly the same here too! I told my girlfriend "IT'S PRINCE!" ... "Prince of what?" :D

Loved the film. I think it was the stronger of the 3. The first was cool, really good story. 2nd, didn't like that it was all in some dam and the guy in the wheelchair (Strikers son). But the 3rd. Much more varied :)

Saw a trailer for UltraViolet. dear god no. There should be a button to destroy all bad films. I fear X-Men might go up a little bit, but the matrix/x-men/transporter/i-robot clone that UltraViolet tries to be would surely be obliterated.

I doubt they are playing it with channels 2 and 4 no matter if you cant hear channels 2 and 4 on this X-MEN III flick, doesn’t matter, your just have to look for a place where you can hear channels 2 and 4, won’t

What I’m talking about is, “SDDS 8” now X-MEN III has to be heard in “SDDS 8!”

I went to see it last night. I hadn't seen either X-Men 1 or 2 before, but my brother wanted to go so I took him. It was excellent and the story was very interesting. If there is an X-Men 4 (which it sure looks like there will be), I'll be certain to see it. :)

This movie SUCKED.

The acting wasn't bad, the jokes weren't bad, the directing wasn't bad... IT was the story line.

Now, I realize that they can't possibly follow the comic books exactly, but the first two movies followed the books quite nicely. But to off so many characters in one way or another, pisses me off.

And Gambit. WTF is Gambit? They mention his name briefly in the second film, and that's IT?!

WTF mate?

Haha, that's pretty much how I felt. I think the ticket money would have been better spent on just a rental of this movie.

I actually didn't think the acting was anything special, wasn't particularly impressed w/ the action, and definitely not impressed w/ the story line.

That's a bit of a shame, because I quite enjoyed the first two. I was going to go see it, but I may reconsider.

Me too! Pretty much the only reasons I agreed to seeing this movie in theaters was:

  • wanted to watch da Vinci Code but we missed the time
  • liked the first two X-Men movies all right
  • love "Captain Piccard" (sp?) :p
I was quite disappointed, really, and I do enjoy action movies, this one just felt flat.

I disagree. The directing was terrible. The acting for the most part was okay, but the President looked like he took acting classes from the Handsome Man Acting School ( SNL reference).

sorry, OT

From what I heard, that movie [da Vinci code] sucked. I haven't heard anything good about it.
I don't care if it sucks. I'm going to see it because I <3 Audrey Tautou. :D

I mean I'm not going to tell anybody that x3 deserves oscars for acting, plot or directing ... but at the same time I liked the xmen as a kid. I enjoyed it as fantasy with a reasonable plot and good action scenes. Thats all I wanted from it and its all I got.

Consider yourself lucky that you just saw the trailer. I saw the entire film and it was downright terrible. The trailers made it look like it had some sort of potential, but the plot was atrocious. Special effects were pretty cool though.

I thought X-men was pretty good. The plot was a bit weak in some areas, but overall it was enjoyable. The highlight of the movie for me was the Juggernaut joke.
