Ive searched high and low... has anyone upgraded from an X to a XS and not regretted it?

I know I will get trolled, but all I see is ‘X to XR’, ‘XR to XS Max’ and ‘8 to XS’ etc.... I’m just assuming everyone bypassed this model..

I just don't see the need. Better coverage on T-Mobile than the X, which may be relevant to some users.

In fact, if something happened to my X, since almost half way until the next version, I would probably just go back to one of my older model iPhones and go to either the Xr or Xs replacement.

Not everyone wants to deal with the size of the Max. It's simply too big for some people.

I agree. The size for XS isn’t AS bad as I thought bc in the store it felt kind of grippy in my hand which I felt helped, but obviously I would definitely put a case on if I had one. And still it’s just too big for me. I like my X.

Also, no way I could do gold in XS. Just way too much lol.

I would get space gray. Or MAYBE even white tbh.

My ideal color for X would be gold if they had that option. I love the gold XS. Throw on a black apple leather or apple silicone case and your ballin!

I know that you are. I was also, but not anymore. Because I went and bought XS Max, even though I promised myself I will keep the X and wait for 2019 iPhones.

This way, I will wait for 2020 iPhones (I can't say this with a straight face).

That is the exact same thing I kept telling myself until last Saturday when I went ahead and upgraded to the XS Max from my X.

Your set up would be heavier too and bulkier.

Continuing ignoring the fact that the screen real estate is much larger on a max in comparison to 5.8 and thus harder for people to reach areas across the phone, battery pack or no battery pack. I think those are ugly and useless for my needs as well.

Actually i want to get XS and sold my X silver

After reading all the Xs issues ....

I bought another X space grey newly replaced with applecare plus remaining till nov 2019...

I want the camera but i think better hold off for now...

Not one issue with my XS whatsoever, completely flawless. (And yes, mine was a ‘launch day model.’)

Me? It’s a tax writeoff for me so I do it every year and never regret it when I’m able to sell the old one for so much.

You buy a burner phone and sell the previous gen a couple weeks before the announcement for maximum value, use temp phone until release day. You’ll lose $20-$60 if you took really good care of your phone, so essentially, you’re getting the newest hardware for like $5/mo

What are the issues you're experiencing with your XS?
A lot of lock-ups. Like 3-5 seconds of frozen screen in whatever app I'm trying to use. Generally upon opening but have had it happen while in the middle of doing something more times than I can count. The last instance was the Settings app I had opened to connect to my soundbar while entertaining some people and it was 20+ seconds. I even killed it from the app switcher and re-opened and it was still frozen.

Connectivity (both Wifi and LTE) was also a huge issue. Random data dropouts even though the phone was showing sufficient coverage, having to restart the phone to get a signal when re-entering a coverage area (sometimes toggling airplane mode worked; most times it didn't), and the phone would join wifi networks minutes after I had "deactivated" wifi from the CC.

Also, since using my 7 I've been able to use my phone while sitting in my car outside my office. The XS couldn't load so much as a simple news article from the same spot.

And not even that... I have the XS Max on T-mobile and coverage is pretty much the same... no better and no worse.
