Sounds good, I'll probably just make them buy their own controllers if they want to do multiplayer. But yeah, if they are watching TV or whatever, I guess I can't play.. haha. I am also planning on buying an external monitor down the road, so yeah.

Funny thing is, that TV out in the living is actually the TV I brought here.. haha. But yeah, more imput would be great.. I'll keep checking here. Thanks all!
I don't know if I'd even make them buy their own controllers. It is your console therefore you're responsible for the accessories. And what if you have friends over and want to use your roommates' controllers? And then when everyone goes their separate ways, your roommates will have a controller to nothing (unless they buy their own 360). They may make you buy the controllers off of them if you make them buy the controllers to just play. In time it could get ugly.

When I lived with roommates, I had a Dreamcast for the living room. I bought all the games and accessories. I let my roommates play whenever they wanted. We all had enough respect for each other that we treated each others stuff with care.

And then they are justified to kick you off the TV because now they'll want to watch TV since they can't play XBOX. :)

I don't watch television myself so that scenario hadn't occurred to me.....

Fine, but in my opinion the people who would look like an ass is those who think they can treat something that belongs to me as their own, regardless of where it is located.

Even in a dorm room, you do have the luxury of telling people they can't use or touch their things. They might not listen, but if it was me there would be serious ramifications if they did not respect my wishes.

You would be sharing a roof with them, not everything you own.

It is a matter of respect. Most sane people would treat an 360 in the main room of the house that is a room mates with the respect that it is the room mates. Not being willing to share then I sorry but you are a crappy room mate.

Remember you have to live with these guys so it better to share. If they treat it with respect leave it in the main room and let others get some enjoyment out of it.

I am rather sicken by how selfish people on these forums are. They think of themselves first and only them selves. If I owned a 360 when I live with room mates I would share. Hell I did share what I did own. TV, DVD player and play station.

agreed. some things are easier to share than others. i mean i have no problems sharing dishes or furniture, books or game systems usually. things i wont share are my comp, ipod, phone etc

its really what you feel comfortable with

all i know is that if my room mate asked me to chip in for an enjoyment fee for the 360 yet he gets to keep it, would sorta be insulting and i would think of him as being stingy. just my opinion

i understand your pt but i have to ask if 1) have you had room mates before
2) did you get along with them and 3) surely you know that somethings just look bad if you dont share just because it's yours

i do know what you are saying dont get me wrong, but their are situations you cant be so possesive if you know what i mean

exactly. And I would feel if my room mate got it and then just kept it in his room and refused to offer to share it I would think of them as selfish.

But yeah there are a lot of items I own I would not share but a lot of items I have no problem sharing.

Heck now that I live by myself I still have a lot of things I share if I am asked.

When I lived in an apartment, I kept my 360 in the main room. I also purchased 2 additional controllers for multiplayer action. The most popular game was halo, and we played 2 v 2 because my other roommate had an original xbox connected in MY room. It was nice of him to put it in my room, but I had the second biggest TV compared to the main room.

It didn't really matter to me if they used my 360 when I wasn't there. Just putting more hours on it and giving it the love it deserves. Ironically the same roommate who's xbox was in my room bought a PS3 shortly after we all moved in, and a second controller, but put the PS3 in his room on his 13'' TV. I'm pretty sure he played my 360 more than he did his PS3. I didn't have a problem with it, and didn't ask any of my roommates to pay me money to play my xbox.

-if you have bad roomies then get your own tv in your room and f them.

Bingo.

It really depends on who you're sharing with. If you're sharing with good friends, then share the love (XBox).

If you feel more comfortable with the XBox being in your own room, then buy a TV, or make your monitor into a sort of TV.

Some people are real tight-asses.

Share. It'll make everything better.
