iPhone xCon update coming soon?

Update: I just upgraded the Directv app myself after you assured me that it would work. All is well!
 
Is the newest xcon still in Beta? and does it work with the iPhone 5S yet? sorry I've kind of been out of the loop lately.

I don't think it's a minority, but rather the app is only used by businesses.
I am in the same boat as he is, the server scans your phone for a jailbreak.

It can't have you disabling Active Sync, and remove passcode. Company policy requires you to be on a none jailbroken device. However if xCon would bypass that, it would be very helpful.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Mobileiron definitely is not a mainstream app that "most" use for business. And the comment you make about looking for a solution that would fool the app from jailbreak protection followed by the comment about it being against company policy to disable the password makes no sense. You're either breaking company policy or not. You can't rob a bank and donate 10% to charity and not still be committing a crime.

If you work for a company who doesn't trust its users with their devices that's one thing, but the other side is legal protection (ie using sandbox apps like Iron and Good), they do it for a reason, because likely there are laws requiring such protection of data. So you could actually be violating a law by trying to bypass it (SOX Compliance most likely). Scary to know this is going on... no wonder why there have been so many corporate data breaches lately.

I think you're mixing your metaphors a bit here. In any event, using a jailbroken phone when your company IT policy requires otherwise is NOT akin to robbing a bank. It's not illegal to have a jailbroken phone. Violating company policy may get you fired, but that's a risk that the individual will have to weigh in determining whether to make the violation.

And you would not be violating a SOX compliance "law", either. Companies satisfy their obligations in this area by establishing policies reasonably designed to do what they are supposed to do, e.g., data protection.

In any event, I have to believe that xcon would have been updated by now if its creators had any ongoing interest in doing so. I've been forced into 7.1 so it doesn't really matter one way or the other to me.

You may want to research SOX. Because as an individual you're liable for compliance not just your company.

But since you were "forced" (at gunpoint? Lol) to upgrade to 7.1 it's moot for you anyhow as you said. Thanks for stopping by this thread.

Sort of not the point of this thread, but since you're providing erroneous legal advice, I will point out that under SOX, "compliance" liability extends only to directors (as fiduciaries) and certain certifying individuals (typically, the CEO and CFO).

So what about a director or certified "individual" would make my statement that as an individual one is responsible? You just confirmed exactly what I said.

I am not sure why you are so aggressively hostile when everyone reading this thread has the same goal of furthering the development of a working xCon.
 
anybody found a resolution? Im sure ill find a fix sooner or later with all this searching but i've tried like 3 difference Xcons and its what i used on my old iPad for it to bypass this, isn't working out tho

Resolution to what? xCon v37b7 works for TiVo... do you mean directv? In that case I don't know, they seem a lot more aggressive against jailbreak.
 
I gave up on waiting for a Good Mobile fix 🙁 I hate carrying around a stupid blackberry for work emails, but I refuse to give up my jailbreak. is v39b7 still the latest? I just want to make sure I haven't missed any updates.

I already fixed it using a different tweak but thanks anyway. I was talking about the direcTV app
