when is SL suppose to be coming out? I heard around the same time Win7 was but Win7 keeps changing dates to a sooner date then someone said by Summer or after SL should drop

According a post by t0mat0, it may be in August of this year. Slightly later than I expected, but not too bad. Not like MS anyway.

It's a custom board made for Apple, not an "off the shelf" model.

It's very likely an Apple specific part - i.e. not something you can pick up on the market.

hmm cuz i was thinking maybe they are using the intel dual 1366 motherboards that are out - cuz i want to build a dual 1366 system and try to get osx on it but i was trying to figure out what kinda board they are using - theres a few intel boards for this thats why i was thinking it might be an intel board

Intel likely designed it to Apple's spec and Foxconn produced it. You aren't going to be able to find an off the shelf match.

In all likelihood, just like pre-Nehalem days, you won't need an exact match of Apple's motherboard to run OSX.
