Did you get a mini? I skimmed back in the thread a bit but didn’t see you mention which model iphone you’re waiting on. Apologies if I missed it.

The lower gb models of the mini’s have been in stock on Xfinity’s website this entire time, I believe. Every time I’ve checked, anyway. I considered canceling my order right after placing and going for the lower gb, but I’ve been about to reach 128gb as it is.

I don’t recall shopping for iPhone being like this before, where highest gb models are the ones flying off the shelves, usually it’s the opposite, in my limited experience. I’ve never pre-purchased or purchased an iPhone at launch before though.

HAHAH I realized I didnt type out the full text. I got the pro max. And yes I completely agree with you this experience has been very weird and different.

A friend who works at an Xfinity store told me to come in early because they were getting iPhone shipments and a 256GB Pacific Blue 12 Pro Max I wanted. It feels really high. I can easily use it without a case because of the flat edges and matte glass back. It feels like sea glass like last year's Midnight Green. It seem to have badly botched this launch. My order still shows Estimated Delivery of 12/11. I hope all you guys get yours soon.

So it seems that the agent who told me the good news that my phone was shipping out Saturday was full of it. Glad I declined to take the customer service survey I received immediately afterwards.

Nothing has changed on my order status page. Still says expected delivery date 12/11, still showing a greyed out iPhone mini.

:( I’m sorry to hear that. Their whole system has proven to be a mess. I randomly got a tracking number Saturday and my phone arrived today. I really hope you get yours soon. I can imagine it won’t be much longer. I definitely didn’t expect mine when the email came on Saturday.

That’s great news you got your phone! Hopefully I get surprised with tracking soon too, you give me hope, ha!

I got a tracking number Saturday night with delivery scheduled tomorrow (I was told I need to return the 12 Pro Max I got on Friday to the store, then activate the new Pro Max in order to get the $250 card.) Xfinity Mobile customer support has been a nightmare. Hope you get your phone ASAP.

They’re really making you work for that discount, sheesh. It’s a big discount though, I’ve considered canceling and buying from Apple but then I think of everything else that that $250 could be going towards.
Happy you’re getting your phone though, and at least you got to play with a phone for a few days as you wait.

Do you happen to recall if your order status page updated on your Xfinity account when you received tracking?

Edit: Same question for Kelsic ☺️ Thanks

The status page did change on my account (I checked). Xfinity shipped Dec. 12 with estimated delivery of Dec. 11, lol. Hope you get yours soon and Xfinity does a better job next year.

I waited too long and now the delay is until 12/31. Which again isn't bad but I am going to check my local Xfinity store to see if they have any available. They did a week ago but only 128gb versions for the pro max. I was hoping for 256 gb but I dont think I even need it with my current phone being 256gb and only has 80 gb used.

So i went to an xfinity corporate store in my city and they had the pro maxes in stock. As i was talking to the agent, i informed them on my situation of ordering a pro max on 11/22 with an estimated ship date of 12/18. i asked if they can cancel my order and they said they would look into it. i guess since i passed the amended cancellation date (which was mentioned a few posts back) they cant cancel it on their end that i would have to call. So i called and the agent on the phone said since the phone is on backorder (they also considered it"shipping" status), they cant cancel it because its grayed out on their end. So i asked if I can purchase the phone at the store and when the phone comes in that i preordered to return it. He said thats fine but I wouldnt be able to get the promotion and i would have to activate/port a new line since the preordered phone has a designated number already tied to it, and he said that i would get charged a restocking fee for the preordered phone. *such a mess*. So i went back inside the corporate store and wanted to proceed in the transaction and then the agent told me they can't because in order for her to have the phone activated with one of the lines i have, they have to CANCEL the preorder but they cant because it was grayed out. She agent did she me her screen which i completely understand. But it is ridiculous when we have i have the chance to get the phone in store and cant cancel my order because its in "shipping" status which is bs cuz its not. Then the agent told me that i will receive my phone on 12/23 and that she was sure of it. My status still hasn't changed anywhere so i do not know who to believe! I just want my wifes phone to come in before xmas is that so much to ask? 😂. I hope things start looking up for us all.

Woke up to the FedEx App delivery manager showing a delivery is coming from Comcast Xfinity on Thursday 12/17 from Fort Worth, TX. And I just got a text notification right now from FedEx that the package has been picked up.

Nothing has changed on my Xfinity accounts’ order status page, and have received no emails from Xfinity.

So I just got off a chat with an agent and they told me my expected ship date is 12/18 and that I should receive my fedex tracking tomorrow. 2 days before your expected ship date is when we “should” receive our tracking is what I was told. So let’s see if that’s the case tomorrow!

EDIT: No confirmation email.... doenst look like I’ll be getting it by the 18th. These agents just keep telling me the same thing....

EDIT 2: just got a confirmation email of it being shipped with a tracking number

The Xfinity salesperson told me that the iPhone 12 upgrade has been a nightmare and they're looking to make it easier for existing customers to come in and get the phone at the store if it's in stock.

I have a tracking status of “exception” now because we got hit by a snow storm yesterday.
There was a winter storm warning days prior and a lot of talk about the impending storm in the national news, so it’s not like I’m surprised but I am disappointed since an exception woulda been avoided if Xfinity had overnighted the phone as it did with many others’ orders, so that it would have arrived right before the storm, instead of doing 2-day when we’ll all be snowed-in trying to shovel our way out and conditions are predictably too unsafe for drivers to make their deliveries. 😔

getting my $250 gift card today that was quick lol time too upgrade my wifi router wish I order later today
