Android and iOS both are good, but I only like stock Android, on most Android phones just too much junk and branding built in, and support stopped after one year.
Which is why I fail to see why people buy expensive Android phones from Samsung et al.
I can buy a new Xiaomi phone twice a year, and still save money compared to buying a Samsung. Not only I can run the exact same apps as a Samsung phone, I don't have to worry about updates either. :)
There's a reason Samsung is not doing well in China. People don't see the value in a Samsung phone anymore, other than the brand.

Anyone here have any hardware engineering experience? How do they pass audio through the earpiece speaker when they have a full display like that?
On the Mi Mix 2, they have the earpiece speaker behind a slim slit on top of the screen.
On the Mi Mix 1, they actually had the whole screen vibrates to generate sound.

I’m thinking a large percentage of viewers on this website are Apple fans and prefer iOS. I know it’s a crazy idea, but give it some thought.

I’ve been an Apple fan for a long time, but lately I found that xiaomi is a great alternative. I don’t prefer IOS over Android any more. It is still the os I use most, but I give Android a try. Apple has been quite disappointing to me for the last years. Maybe it is time to move on.

Xiaomi phones are so cheap that you can easily buy one without selling your iPhone. Nobody says you have to commit to one ecosystem. I use iPhone and many Android phones.

Having said that, if you can decide easily to switch platforms, it means you are not utilizing whatever platform you're on to its fullest. One that is already heavily invested in iOS (iMessage, apps, music/movies from iTunes, iCloud, messaging apps, etc), will find it very difficult to just switch platform since it is not easy (and often impossible) to migrate all your stuff.
