This seems like a really cool idea. Hopefully it will work on EDGE (and the sound will not suck) because there is a ton of downtime when working at a day camp and this would be nice to have and there is only one place in there that gets wi-fi and I am far away from it. Too bad an AIM app is months away due to push notifications being seeded late to developers. I still cannot wait until the app store releases.

I agree. Unless you're streaming it from their websites which, at this point, the phone doesn't support it anyhow, you'd need a clear sky view all the time to get the satellite signal. That's not very practical.

Obviously someone who doesn't have satellite radio. You don't need a clear sky view all the time, at least XM has repeaters on the ground in cities that makes it so you don't need a sky view. In Seattle, I get a great signal in my office, and even when driving through the long tunnels of I-90.

Anyone with Sirius or XM should know that you can listen to the radio at any computer through the Internet. It'd be easy for the companies to set up a web app for those with service that streams it via Internet.

I dunno about Sirius, but XM does not broadcast their entire lineup on the internet. One of my favorite stations, Sonic Theater (audio books), isn't streamed.
