But she's a beautiful dog.. still a puppy.

Actually, that was one of my questions. The bracket in my car is off center to my face. I'm assuming face id would be pretty much useless.

We're calling your local PD so they know you're trying to text while driving.

Just kidding.

But using it in the car is a pain, even when stopped. You have to take your eyes off the road.

Actually, I use Siri to text when I'm driving and I have the do not disturb on. But my wife and family are on bypass :)

I would probably say XR but i'm biased, I already own the XS Max and the XR. You do get the most for your money with the XR unless you want a 6.5" device. The only thing stopping me calling the XR petite is its weight, plus thickness but the bulk of people would be delighted with an XR.

I put a case on mine so it's even thicker. I don't care one bit.

Of course the XS Max is the better phone. I'd have loved to be the proud owner of a new XS Max, but I cannot justify paying the same price for it as I paid for my 2017 MBP. No way.

I chose the 8+ because it's well priced and I like the Apple silicon case, otherwise I would have chose the Xr. I'm going to try and keep this phone for two years, but I usually buy an iPhone every year.

I don’t know why some are saying the XS battery life sucks, maybe to make the XR seem better. My XS battery is good. Gets me by the whole day.

Every thread on enthusiasts forums asking for recommendations tend to have a variation of get the biggest, newest, more expensive bling. Use case, overall experience, and right tool for the job is rarely discussed, just specs. Such is the nature of the beast.

No one will ever experience the same battery life, you can’t take everything literally when someone says the ‘battery life sucks’, because that may not be the same experience for someone else, it’s all based on [Usage and settings]. Every iPhone I have owned has had exceptional battery life, but I know how to tweak my Settings exactly how I want them to maximize my battery efficiency.

I know – I’m not the first with this dilemma. I switched to xfinity mobile from Verizon. Gave my iPhone 7 (which I loved) to my daughter and I got an XR. Used it for a few days and exchanged it for an iPhone 8 (with smaller storage, but I managed it). The iPhone 8 is $25 a month (64GB). The XR was $33 (128GB) and the XS is $41 (64GB). I liked the XR tech, camera, and the larger screen but just couldn’t get used to the physical size. I love the iPhone 8 size but am wondering if I should go back to the XR for just a few dollars more (per month) or even try the XS? Maybe I’ll get used to the size of the XR if I try for longer? Re the size - it's a one handed issue, but also the ease of putting the phone in my pocket to walk the dog, etc.. I would like to keep the phone for at least 2 years and want one that will last. I know others have had similar experiences and want to get others thoughts. Thanks!
Here is one vote for the XR. I just got mine last week. I like smaller phones like the reg. iphone 8, but I am actually liking the size on the XR just fine. As much as I like the concept of one handed use, I realistically always use two hands to text and use the phone, etc. anyway. Bigger screen, longer battery life, Camera is great, LCD screen is easier on my eyes. I've had the Samsung galaxy S9 which has an incredible super amoled screen, but the LCD is easier on my eyes.

So did you buy an XR then?
