My XS is down to 92% after 7 months. :D:oops:

It's probably the snug Otterbox Symmetry case, third-party 2.4A charger and the fact that I've been very busy lately and letting the charge go down too far too often.

My SE is at 90% after 18 months.

Does anybody know what is normal? I am down to 96% but I wonder if that is normal or what is expected/normal over time. Mine seemed to start down after I bought apply external battery case. Don't use it very often though but wonder if it is accelerating because of case

It’s strange !

Do you charge it at night ? Is your battery exposed to the heat ? (Car for instance)

Stop using a cheap QI charger or a QI charger for short. It basically kills the battery.
no i never charge at night , nor do i over use the phone .

Okay so I have had my XS Max for 3 weeks now and want to know the best way of taking care of the battery before I get a heart attack over Battery Health .

Ultimately I never let my phones get below 25% battery and I am getting into the habit of doing top ups to 85-90% and then charging overnight daily.

Will my battery suffer for all this? I only charge to 100% once a day and that’s when charging overnight.

Batteries might be even more misunderstood than women.

Cannot wait get iOS 13, here is a feature that will help manage Battery Health overtime, Sony have had this feature in their phones for a few years.

Battery health app is useless. My daughters SE still says 100% after 2 years. I have an old 5s thats god know how old, it won't last 5 mins off the charger and it says 95% health.

Do you have a MacBook or something with Mac OS? I'd highly recommend: https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/ --- check the battery capacity after a full charge.
No but tried 3uTools which is the same idea only for windows. Take my 7+ It tells me 249 charge cycles health at 82%. Plugged in my daughters SE 489 charge cycles 92% health so not really sure what this means, who's battery is in better shape?

Good question. I would say your daughter's SE is doing far better. That said I usually pay attention to current capacity more than any other stat. Current Capacity / Design Capacity. (I guess that's where they usually get the %).

Apple says the battery should maintain >=80% for 500 charge cycles and 2 years.
