Good and bad news,.....Good news is,....My MBP replacement is supposed to be shipped Aug 9-13. But it was delivered 3 days earlier on 6th!

Bad news: new iLife 08 just came out today!,.... that means additional $79!

2nd Good news: I called and talked to apple,.... they will ship the new iLife 08 free as they ship it 3 days earlier!

Allergic to apple,... and I still Love Apple!

I ordered a MBP about a week and a half ago...when I saw iLife '08 today, i called Apple to see if i would get it since my MBP hasn't shipped yet...and i too will receive iLife '08 for free!!!

I think you will get it...I ordered mine on the 28th (has the same estimated ship date as yours) and they said it would be shipped with mine, just got off the phone with them about five minutes ago

there are a lot of people on this forum that take it as some personal insult whenever apple gives someone something that came out a couple days after they bought their mac...

Well if Apple didn't say a word about Leopard until the day it was released I'm sure there would be plenty of angry mac rumors members who bought Tiger the day before. However when it happens to someone who spends thousands on hardware people seem to think it's acceptable. Not that I'm speaking from experience, I ordered a MBP.

Hm, I ordered a MacBook Pro in July (18th) but it's still working its way through the delivery process (it's somewhere in mainland Europe right now). Anyone want to have a guess at the odds that I'll get iLife '08 either preinstalled or through this Up To Date program?

Estimated delivery is the 12th so...

Lucky. ;P I just ordered the upgrade off the website for $9.95. I was told if you purchased a Mac within two weeks of today you're eligible for the $9.95 upgrade. I should have just asked for a copy in-store, lol. Oh well.
