Yahoo Mail Users Trying to Leave Service Faced With 'Temporarily Disabled' Email Forwarding [Update: Re-enabled]

Ha. Yahoo is garbage ever since they sprung ads on yahoo weather iOS app without any warning. The update called it "performance enhancements and bug fixes".

They suck.

The problem is that people always need things to be free. If you are willing to pay (in money and/or time) there are lots of alternatives. The easiest way might be https://posteo.de/en which should meet everyones requirements (also provide contacts and calender sync). Apart from that you can always self-host, but that's not cost-efficient for just 1 mailbox.

'work to improve it'?
Yahoo under Marissa Mayer has ruined everything they touch, from email to sports and especially finance.
She is the worst CEO in the history of humanity and this jackal is going to walk away with millions for being a total unabashed failure.
She's also a miserable human being

Yahoo Mail used to allow you to "forward and delete" and for the last couple years they've no longer allowed that as an option so I've had to use "forward and mark as read".

I've been quickly updating all the services that I used to have linked to my Yahoo account to use Gmail instead.

Yahoo used to be great, not any more.

I think they've had those, ones that simply had a stop button but no pause button.

For some time various free deficits didn't have forwarding or anything like that since they wanted you to keep on using the service and essentially only through their site.
 
gmail has a nice way to setup a pop3 account to "get" your yahoo email out. Seems like a good time to switch everything.

Marissa was not a good CEO, that doesn't mean she wouldn't be effective in a role more suited to her talents. I bet she would bring some value to a company not as CEO

As what? She thinks workers should be slaves and work on weekends, she judges people based on how many hours they work, she even said that she knows when an employee is good if she sees them working overtime.
The woman is a witch, a complete incompetent and a maggot of a human being
 
yahoo really has reached new lows recently, I refuse to use them even for throwaway email addresses.
