Sorry, only just noticed this! My replacement is perfect! Like, “best screen I’ve ever had in a smartphone” perfect. I guess it is just a bit of a lottery at the moment.![]()
And a picture would also help...Production week and factory?
So I'm quite new to all of this.
Here are two pictures of my PM pacific blue. It definitely looks warmer than my original iPad Pro but then again it is not too unpleasant to my eyes (but eh). TT is naturally warmer because I'm sitting in a room with dim and warm lights. Anyway, the SN of the phone is:
G0NDN, production week is the 45th, so around early November.
The SN for the display starts with G9N0 although I'm not sure if that is good or bad.
The phone exhibits the green tint blinking issue and has a slight gap at the bottom. Not sure if to keep or return. What do you guys think?
If I were you I would replace it for a new one.Does no one have an opinion on this? I'm pretty conflicted here.
Good that changing the brand worked for you...a lot of users are knee deep in the “apple ecosystem “ so they can’t jump ship 🚢 even if they want to 😕For me after an attempt to exchange (because I’m not going to exaggerate I’m not going to have to make 5 changes ) I found the solution ...change brandand guess what now I have a pure black and a white as white as a white
Thanks, Apple, but it’s over between us
It has been written many times in this thread, but I suppose that in your thirst to write your rather unneccesary post you didnt go through the thread to search for it.This thread is hilarious. I wonder how many of you here realize that when you take a photo of your phone, the camera that you’re using to take the photos of your screens is applying its own white balance corrections to the image, so your photos are very likely not totally accurate in color.
I don’t understand how some people come to the conclusion (without being asked) that they need to tell others what to do and what not to do.I think quite a few people on here should stop inspecting their iPhones for days on end with microscopes and magnifying glasses. Of course if there is a glaring defect with the naked eye, then it is certainly worth exchanging the phone for a new one. However, the folks that are exchanging their phone 10, 15, or 20 times over are going overboard.
You'd lose. Their displays are amazing. The only thing I envy them!I bet Samsung displays are much worse regarding yellow tint.
The note 20 ultra has the best display on any phone but there’s no way I would pay $1400 for a phone that will plummet in resale value. You'd lose. Their displays are amazing. The only thing I envy them!
I couldn't use an Android phone. I have too many Apple products to give up on the iPhone. The note 20 ultra has the best display on any phone but there’s no way I would pay $1400 for a phone that will plummet in resale value.
probably the opposite, people complain about Samsung screens being too vibrant. They have the best displays and if it wasn't for me preferring iOS over Android I would totally get one of their phones.I bet Samsung displays are much worse regarding yellow tint.
Your most likely not wrong, multiple devices this year with Samsung displays are showing yellow tints, including Samsungs own Note 20 Ultra, along with OnePlus devices.I bet Samsung displays are much worse regarding yellow tint.
Yep. See my video. Not sure what to make of it though. Looks better on the preview but if I can record it then it’s not screen related. Though the effect is more apparant on the screen than the recording.Just saw this on Apples support forums and thought it was interesting. If you go to Settings -> Wallpaper and tap on the homescreen preview, the preview is significantly more saturated than your actual homescreen.
This is brought up every single year.Yep. See my video. Not sure what to make of it though. Looks better on the preview but if I can record it then it’s not screen related. Though the effect is more apparant on the screen than the recording.

do not use 0 intensity...for me what worked best is intensity around 15% and tone around 55%, plus white point =0guys I tried all the possible combinations on color filters but I could never find the right calibration .. in the end, after a thousand attempts, I set color filters as the photo but the screen was bluish white and to compensate for the blue color I switched on the night shift .. have you tried this combination?
I'd replace itDoes no one have an opinion on this? I'm pretty conflicted here.
