Does anybody know how to check the screen serial number through iPhone diagnostics? And where to go to find it?

My 13 Pro Max has a G9P panels. Pretty much a great panel from what I can tell. No tinting issues that I can tell.

You likely got lucky because my previous 13 pro max that I returned was G9P but the screen panel was horrid. My current 13 Pro max is G9N and is actually a good screen.

My 13 pro doesn't have this issue but my 12 pro still flickers in a dark room don't know what to do?

Hi there, I have not read the 300+ pages of this thread, so here is my questions to narrow it down, in case some of you have:
- what is the chance of getting a G9N? It is my 3rd ip12m, and got a G9Q each time. I tried online and in store.
- I also tried contacting Apple Support, they offer to replace the screen. Is there any chance they put a better calibrated OLED display, or I will end up with a Samsung (G9N, G9Q, G9P) / LG (GVC, GH) yellow display no matter what? Will they upgrade me with a G9N?

They likely will just grab whatever they get on their hands. It's not like you can request a G9N.

Add G9L to the list. My 13 Pro max is a G9L, pretty decent display, a little bit partialized to warmer whites but not that much. Pretty uniform grays and vibrant colors as well.

you seem to be the only one on earth knowing you have a G9L then! do you happen to have a picture of your display with another one side by side?

Add to that list the G9P which I have on my 13 Pro. Very uniform and no tinting issue from what I tell. Which brings me to my point. With the 13 series I don’t think the 3 letter designator will tell you anything about the quality of the display. Someone pointed out, that it all depends on where the display was cut from the sheet, end or middle.

No offense, but all of you guys saying you have a perfect screen, have you tried comparing it to an iPhone with an LCD display? those where perfectly calibrated, white really white, and it helps spotting the yellow screen. I have been in 3 different Apple Stores, and all the iDevice's displays I saw had a yellow tint...

I really don't think you can really compare with LCD screens. Of course with LCD screens, the display will perfectly white, granted it doesn't have yellow tints (which LCD is also vulnerable to as well). My wife had a 7 Plus and I handed down my 12 pro max when I got my 13 pro max and hands down her 7 Plus looked very white compared to my 12 pro max which was yellow if you compared it. But if you looked at the 12 Pro Max alone and forget about the 7 Plus, you can't even tell.

Can't compare apples to oranges. And personally, I don't even compare with other phones because that will just drive me crazy.

As requested, my 13 PM and X. AS you can see, the 13 PM is more reddish than the X. The X is more defined and more vibrant, better whites in the X, but not by much. Auto-Brightness, True Tone, Night Shift, and Reduce White turned off in both phones. Both set to 50% brightness.

Do you all notice the slight red tint on the right side of the screen or it’s just me being OCD about it?

this year the problem is not if the screen is yellow or not, the problem is uniformity... this really sucks!!!!!

It’s not just you. I actually have a red-tinted 13 PM. It’s located at the right side of the screen. Waiting for 15.1 to fix another issue I have and if it does, I can start the exchanging cycle to get a set with no to minimal display issues.
