This is page 2, where stories are allowed to be sillier! And any stories that offer breaks from That Other Product can't be entirely badYou all realize this was a story made up as a joke on a Podcast, right? Geez.
Did you guys NOT listen to the macbreak weekly when Merlin Mann made this up on this spot?
If it's yellow, a nano, and in the shape of a submarine, I'll buy it on the spot.
Sounds you like actually know the Yellow Submarine music, iMeowbot.
For most of the year I've been using "Pepperland" from the Yellow Submarine album as my default music for iPhoto slideshows. When family members hear that song, they come to my Mac, like Pavlov's dogs, to see whatever photos I'm showing off!
I wonder if the yellow submarine iPod will be a widescreen, touch variety.
Gotta be a joke. Did Apple ever make a product in yellow colour? Not even the iMac G3. Beatles? I will stop now.
Since Apple already makes white iPods, perhaps they've secretly been using a "White Album" Beatles theme all along!A White Album one would be cool, but it's too small a variation on the design for them to even bother methinks.
Why would someone buy this?
To get all the Beatles tracks, the engraved signatures of the four members on the back, and the unique non-nano iPod color (when the black and red U2 edition came out, only white was availible). But most importantly because you're a Beatles fanatic and products like this appeal to fanatics.
And if it is a complete fabrication, it still sounds like a good idea, it'll be a release just like the U2 release I would guess.
That's doubtful. If they bundle it with music, it will be in the form of an iTunes Store voucher, good towards the purchase of the songs. This is what they did with the U2 editions.this is true, I heard it on my local radio station, it will come preloaded with every beatles cd
If a Beatles edition iPod ships, then that would be a prerequisite.and they are going to start selling beatles music in the store.
The phrase "Beatles' entire library" would have to be defined. I imagine that it would include the Beatles Anthology albums, but what about the U.S. vs. U.K. albums, the Beatles "1" album (all songs from other records), music from the Tony Sheridan days, or the songs never released on albums?Someone with more time on their hands than I should figure out just how much it would cost to buy the Beatles' entire library, plus the cost of an iPod...That's gotta be some SERIOUS dough.
