Hey, maybe we can see separate blend "tests" for the Apple Waych, Apple Watch Sports, and Apple Watch Edition. I'll bet that this will be twice as hilarious with the Apple Watch 2, and three times as funny for the Apple Watch 3.

This is the kind of cutting edge story that keeps MacRumors on top of the heap.

Mom used to say, "Don't watch, it only encourages them" (or something like that). Only, I'm not sure whether that can be extended to, "Don't watch the Watch..."

I won't watch on principle. All those poor people watching their order status pages thinking, "That Watch could be on my wrist right now!" If they're going to destroy one (and make a fair amount of YouTube money doing it), the least they could do is be Sports and give another, unblended Edition to a deserving watcher (they must have bought at least one extra, in case they needed to re-take).

"I hear Apple is building their own car"

I don't think that can blend.

It will shred, it will not blend.

I'm actually surprised at how long that fluoroelastomer band lasted. I thought given how soft it is it would be shredded quickly, but it looks like the actual watch started shattering first

I don't understand. Why would you do this? Because you can?

The guy sells blenders. He blends numerous things that normal blenders would choke on in his blender. Supposedly, the blenders he sells are the most powerful blender in the world. So if you need the most powerful blender in the world, you've heard about it thanks to his promotional stunts like this.

I'd imagine the target market is probably pretty small. Probably some kind of lab setting - not a kitchen setting - is where it might come in handy.

What about the Stainless Steel Apple Watch with the Sapphire screen. It's gonna **** up a blendtec.

Tesla not expensive enough for you?

Love the tesla. Wish I had one. No, my point was that before they talk about blending an Apple Car, there should first BE an Apple Car. Which there isn't. This is why I said I wanted to see an Apple Car.

Anyhow, I don't believe that will come anytime soon. right now I am more concerned about my watch arriving before the end of the year.

This was my thought exactly. Does Blendtec really make sales to support destroying both a $300 watch and a $300 blender? Does anyone really buy these blenders because of these videos?

Kinda funny videos I guess, but I bought a Vitamix. Ha, lets see of vitamix can blend the blendtec better than blendtec can belnd a vitamix. That is a video I would really like to see.

By this point, I'm wondering if Apple is giving them the stuff, since they had it so close to launch...

After all, it is exposure for both companies.

I doubt it, although it wouldn't overly surprise me if they made a deal with apple to get one that for some reason didn't pass quality control, but still looks fine.

While I'd doubt it, they're also giving free watches away left and right it seems for exposure to people like Beyonce-I don't see why they wouldn't give something to techie people to look after. It probably would be one that couldn't pass quality control.

I admit that every purchaser is free to make up his or her mind to do with what they purchase for themselves, but this sort of thing bugs me when that (seemingly) perfectly good new watch could have gone instead to one of the many people still waiting for theirs to ship, had these folks not decided to order one for this particular waste of a purpose...
