If you are referring to the flap that holds the iPad in place when it is in the upright position, it holds just great:

Is this the mic hole you refer to? the small one in the middle:

If you want to fold it back on itself, say for reading, it lies nice and flat:

As for slippery, well it's not as "grippy" as it would be with a rubberized/gel case. Just how buttery ARE your fingers?:rolleyes: If you're anything like me, you need all the protection you can get.:p

Oh! and one more thing! The sleep/wake function works just perfectly when the top flap is lowered or raised over the screen!:)

yes, for me slippery is bad. I loved that about the Apple ipad1 case, grippy! I could stick it under my arm (armpit) and have both my hands free.

Oh "super efficient" is definitely me.....but ONLY when it comes to my electronic toys.:p
And as for that "under the arm" mode of transportation.....how do ya think my old iPad ended up on the sidewalk??:eek:

Edit: I did want to show off....but not what you think - it was my precious little Yorkies on my home screen (see 1st pic)

The texture on the leather helps make it less slippery and also here is a photo of the mic hole on my black case.

I actually think the black looks totally stunning with the white stitching. Some people have requested black stitching, but I think the case would lose some of its aesthetics that way.

My original Yoobao case was black, I do hope my new one wears as well.

One caveat

I ordered mine from Amazon on Thursday and received it today in San Diego. I am very happy with it but when it is open with the flap laying flat on the back, it triggers the sleep function. I will probably keep it nonetheless.

hi laurenr, where did you order yours from anyway? i looked at the kevdotcom site, but i don't see the brown one i wanted.

edit: nevermind, i've just ordered from AYL since they have the brown.

He does have the brown (dark orange) is what's its listed under, he has black as well and red will be in wed, coupon code (yoobaoipad2) puts it just under $38

I'm getting a little frustrated. I see that many people on here ordered on Amazon after I did and theirs have already shipped and mine hasn't. I tried to contact AYL and they didn't help at all. Then I asked to cancel the order and they still haven't responded. This really makes me want to order from eBay or some where else.

And the black case with black iPad looked awesome. I've already said this, but I love the white stitching, I think it looks really good. I can't wait to get mine!!! If that ever happens....

That's the good thing about the guy they hate on here, he answers fast and ships faster and has a bunch of black and brown cases....

The black is gorgeous as well. I too like the white stitching.

My order has shipped as well. I received notice on Friday.

I really like these cases & was excited to learn it had the sleep/wake function, but if you 're going to put it in a bag don't you have to turn off the sleep/wake function so it doesn't keep turning off/on the iPad during the commute?

I was at a TJMaxx last night & saw they had a 13" Incase neoprene sleeve for $9.99. They also had them in a 17".
