So has anyone actually done this?

On my iPad, it doesn't work... but then again, "hey siri" doesn't work either. But if I hold down the power button to wake up siri, she functions normally. Beta bug?

This accessibility function is only half-implemented. Once you add a voice cue, you can't edit or delete it in any way. That can't possibly be the expected final version!

FWIW, my inclination is to use "dumbass" for now, and hope that Apple Intelligence makes me want to change that.

Ever since Apple Intelligence was announced, I’ve been trying to get an Apple to switch my lights on and off. But no success yet, whatever I’ve tried. The fruit just sits there in the fruit bowl and is non responsive.

So much for it being the next big thing. At least it’s still healthy food.

I wish Apple would let us do this across all devices and affect “Siri” better. I have my “Siri” and “Hey Siri” disabled because it activates too often when talking to my dog, “Gracy”. And it is just not my southern drawl that wakes her with it, anyone in my household or visiting wakes Siri up calling out my dog’s name. And no, I will not rename my dog.

Rename your dog "Siri" and enjoy the chaos

If only we could use Majel’s voice.
There is an app on Vision Pro called The Archive. It’s developed by Roddenberry and Otoy with a lot of input from Mike and Denise Okuda. Descriptions in the app are read in Majel’s voice. They did phonetic recordings while she was still around just for this type of purpose. Maybe one day we’ll see a new voice for Siri.
