If only there was something like that...

But seriously... let's wait until Apple's earnings call at the end of January.
Apple's last record holiday quarter was 78 million iPhones. That's the number to beat.
You're already betting that they can't reach that. I guess we'll have to wait and see!![]()
And then Apple will still upcharge you $100 for it over the 64GB model. So are you going to get the 128 instead of 256 just to save the $50?Still waiting for the sweet-spot 128GB model.
Good job apple. The scalping on the X was insane this year. When I purchased mine, there were about 100 people waiting in line and all seemed to buy 2 phones at once.
Because the carrier stores aren't priority. Production has a certain obligation to the carriers but until supply is steady those are going to be low priority. Most T-Mobile stores didn't even have phones available for launch. This is pretty standard.Just placed on order on T-Mobile for the X 256gb SG over the weekend.. they're quoting me ship date from 12/13 - 12/20.
How come is the T-mobile model so constrained? More people buying or less production?
The apple store had it in store, but T-Mo didn't :-(
Went through T-mobile due to Loss/Theft insurance.
+1 Amen.It ain't about the money, for me it's about being put over a barrel and "manhandled" by a soulless CEO from Texas who hasn't got any better ideas. I'm voting with my wallet this time.
Wanna bet they group all "new cycle phones" into one number? "Our most successful launch ever"... if you ignore staggered release, short supply.
Again, the cost difference is negligible. Why not get the newest model?Get a 7, that's what I have. I see no compelling reason for the 8 vs the 7
Why reward marketing fluff? Just contraproductive.Again, the cost difference is negligible. Why not get the newest model?
Good to see, beating out what analysts and forum analysts anticipated. They should sell a ton this holiday season.
Don't see that happening. Their parts suppliers are reporting that Apple has scaled back on component orders for the X. I think that sound you are hearing is the demand bubble popping.
Didn't I read articles in various e-publications, that Apple improved production capacity, by lowering quality thresholds? Did I "imagine" that article? Although, Apple immediately jumped on it as "fake news". Yet, they were suddenly able to meet production needs. Must have been a "magical" false-negative on the production line.

Maybe the people who have the phones now, can update the rest of us on the quality of the "dot projector" and facial recognition. Are you happy with it??
Agreed. I’ve had my X for 2 days and I don’t miss the home button at all. I’m surprised how quickly I got used to it.Maybe yields just improve with time? Face ID works great.
