Domino's is not real pizza and they created a solution to a problem that never existed.

So I just skimmed the original article. People actually wait on line for Domino's pizza like its a McD's or Wendy's drive through 🤣

Sounds like insanity.

Maybe I'm biased being from NY but I've never heard anyone say, "I really want pizza, lets go to Domino's". They'd probably get slapped. 🥲
Yup. I never understood why there are people at Applebees, when Juniors is directly across the street. :D

I love the 2 or more for $6.99/item option. 2 medium 2 topping pizzas in several different style crusts for $14. And they have “premium” toppings like feta that other chains don’t offer. Also have choices of wings/boneless, deserts, tots (meh), pasta, and others.

No, I don’t work for them I’m just a fatass. 😄

Enough of our fellow New Yorkers want it enough to sustain about 200 of them: https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/201...eking-hold-dominos-and-its-franchisees-liable
I can't fathom being in NYC and getting Dominos, I was very disappointed in the Ninja Turtles movie. Do better Ninja Turles.

Tourists...
I suppose it's possible that they consider Domino's authentic NY pizza. If they want the real deal, they need visit Florida instead, where it seems like half the state has emigrated over the past few decades. Every strip mall there has a NY pizza joint.

what a time to be alive.

Wall*E (WALL·E) here we come...

The local concert venue used to have Dominos za, and I hadn't had any for decades, until one fateful concert. Yeah, their 'new and improved' za was... Underwhelming. I couldn't say that plastic, or cardboard would taste better, but could have been talked into a taste test that evening. It was hot, and relatively fresh too so who knows. With another Michigan za like Little Caesars, choosing Dominoes is an insult. (Although I did bite into a rock while at a Little Caesars pizza restaurant. It was clean, and actually kind of polished, and couldn't figure out how it got in the za. They comped the cost. It is better za IMO, even with the rock)

The true measure of 'good za' is: Would you eat it cold. Dominoes? No. Little Caesars? Yes, have many times. (BTW: The best pizza I've ever had was found, accidentally, from GJ's Pizza in Traverse City, Michigan. Haven't been back for decades, but remember their pizza fondly. I hope they haven't changed their recipe. It was not overly doughy, and the cheese was phenomenal! It was also almost better the next day (we actually nearly fought over it), and survived being micro reheated too. Good stuff)

And rightfully so.

I don't know anyone who would use this for pizza but in some other cases it might work out.

carplay might be unnecessary but I like some other tech implementations on orders. such as, when you arrive to the geofence of your starbucks location on certain days/time ranges, your coffee order being placed, so it's waiting for you to grab it as soon as you walk in.

I also liked the uber-alexa integration but they discontinued it. I was able to just say "alexa get me an uber" right before I walked out of my apartment and it would be down there, waiting for me by the time I get outside.

My city has plenty of “Philly cheese steak” restaurants; having also lived in Philadelphia, they’re not even close.

Yes, but... as a New Yorker living in South Florida — I've yet to find pizza that isn't just called NY style pizza, but actually resembles it taste-wise :)

And the first time I visited NYC, I was amazed at the number of pizza joints that announced THEY were the only 'NYC-style' pizza. It was war to declare your pizza THE NYC pizza.

Similar in Chicago I'm sure. The average pizza eater probably wouldn't care. o_O
