It is also retroactive showing previous sleep scores. I’ve only been sleeping with a series 10 for a little over a month, but I can see the score for all of those days pre-ios26/watchos26

I got 75% last night.
1 cat and 1 dog must be blamed for a bad "interruptions" score... (4/20).
I have a Series 8 and I cannot find any pretext to upgrade in 2025...

I like this. Moved to the top of my health summary just below trends.

If there are widgets I’m going to install them on lock screen and watch.

AWU 1 (three years old now) - running Watch OS 26 and iOS 26 on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Got my sleep score when I woke up this morning.
I was underwhelmed. I don't know what I expected.

So is there a benefit of using the newer watch vs an older generation?

Only the sleep apnea and hypertension detection?
it appears the big benefits of the AW11 is a long lasting battery, 5G and the harder/scratch resistant glass. Same chip, so the software should work on older models too.

Brighter as well. I was looking at my AW10 and noticed how dim it was last nights night. I much prefer my AW Ultra 2 & I’m pondering getting the AW Ultra 3 in black as an upgrade.

i think sleep apnea detection is in AW10 and beyond. for hypertension detection it seems like they can do it with any generation, or at least newer generations, but we'll see.

theoretically i have sleep apnea and my AW10 has never reported a breathing disturbance. so i think it would have to be really bad for the watch to pick up on it.
Same for me, and I have even skipped a couple nights of not using my CPAP machine, and know I had some episodes since I had excessive daytime sleepiness the next morning and a migraine.

Can anyone tell me if – finally – by wearing the Apple Watch at night, I can have the alarm sound on my iPhone (in addition to or instead of the Apple Watch vibration)?

Glad that it is not an exclusive to the latest model and that it is available for older models too. See no reason to upgrade from a Series 10.

Sure you can, I do it all the time. Set a separate alarm on your phone and they'll both sound (or you can have the phone sound and the watch vibrate).

Besides 5G connectivity, satelite connectivity and other minor changes to watches all the features are from watchos 26. This features working from watch 9 and upwards. All the watchfaces working with all watches.

I need a new AW (dont have one anymore) and thought about just picking up a AW10...but where I live the price difference is so little vs 11 that I just pre ordered the 11... plan to keep it for a good while anyways.
